    Texas is fine. It’s about who they target and put their energy into. Gerry said it best, Texas has a national approach. This isn’t the Mack era of primarily Texas or bust. Texas has studs from Georgia, Florida and Alabama right now. Mack never did that.

    Lots of really good tackle prospects in state this year. Texas will get theirs and they will continue to recruit this kid through the whistle if they see him as that kind of player.

    January will be needed early barring a portal guy coming in. He may be needed to play as many 10 to possibly 15 snaps a game. Texas simply doesn’t have space eaters on campus right now outside of Mitchell. I could see Collins being 325 or so to play it as well although that is not his strength.

    How many are we taking? Seems we have several lines in the water. I know the McKinney kid is probably tops on the board. Who would be second? I really like the Skyline kid.

    Body type and projection is similar to Jalani McDonald. That makes me think… we have to find a way to get McDonald on the field. Both kids are elite multi sport athletes.

    Pierce has Texas in an ok spot but not great. Hard to believe Texas would be like preseason #7 in the SEC. Things will need to improve to get to the upper level of the conference. Basketball will be fine. Hoops is the one thing the SEC isn’t better than the Big 12 in. Texas will improve moving conferences especially if they keep their recruiting class.

    Eric Metcalf He has always been high on my list of Longhorns. Probably because I was in elementary school when he played and Metcalf was like a one man team. He’s all we had on some of the teams. Met him in New Orleans for the game and got a pic.

    I will say that retrieving a Dline appears to harder than at first glance. I am surprised that the recruiting aspect and some loose ends weren’t already tied up with Wright. On the surface the Bo Davis departure left us by surprise.

    Coaches always have a list they can circle back to. It will be interesting to see who plan B is. I still hope we get an NFL guy.

    Very cool! Glad y’all have a site. I think he’s at the least a replacement for Carter. We’d be back on schedule where we were after the season added. Be patient and see what happens in the Spring after his if we sign him. Also, he’s a little different here because Nanson has the goods on this one. No unknowns and if he couldn’t help, Texas would not have brought him in.
