  1. I completely agree. Sark needs to set up those explosives with those quick throws and runs. The wingo touchdown against Ole Miss there was an underneath route that drew the safety down and left Wingo open. But that was set up by those quick slants and throws that we saw early on in the game.
  2. I still don't know how that Duke team didn't win it all
  3. My reason for optimism is that they have made the plays to give them a chance to win the game. Late TD's vs Florida, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, and the 4th quarter vs Ohio State.
  4. 4 of the 6 remaining games are against teams that score more points per possession than Texas does. The offense has to stop treating every possession like pennies in a parking lot and have a sense of urgency against these upcoming teams who can all score in an instant.
  5. Cam Coleman. I think he gets unleashed. Full route tree and 8+ targets. I think this is the Cam Coleman breakout game and we remember why he was brought in
  6. I've got Indiana 31-24
  7. What if he was on the 2023 team. I think they win the national championship that year. They might have won it with Jonathan Brooks. I can only imagine what Bijan would have looked like on that team
  8. I think the skinny post that Cam had on the first drive against UTSA is a great example of this. Intermediate route in the middle of the field.
  9. I would compare Cam to more of a George Pickens than CD. The deep threat is always there with GP but what makes him dynamic is his slant route. GP had a slant/corner route that almost made the DB fall down. He wasn't targeted but was wide open. I could see a duo similar in style to CD/GP with Wingo/Coleman. Wingo being the RAC/quicker guy that CD is and Coleman being in that GP role.
  10. Since 2024 Texas's record is 12-5 against top 25 opponents. With the only losses to Georgia and Ohio State and are currently on a 4 game win streak against top 25 teams
  11. Haha they do employ a lot of people I believe. They grade the games live and by quarter. And they have at least 2 people per game. One charting and one reviewing. I don’t know much more beyond that.
  12. Their right tackle had a 47 grade. Which honestly might be way to high after that performance
  13. I was a student at Harding University when they played Trinidad and Ferris State in the National Semi-Finals in 2024. Trinidad was a redshirt Junior that season and they went on to win the National Championship that season. When I heard that he was transferring to Ole Miss I was surprised. I thought he only had one year of eligibility left and I thought why would he most likely give up his last year to play football for the rest of his life just to go and ride the bench at Ole Miss for a year. Turns out I was wildly incorrect about that.
  14. I would agree with that. Just because he is engaged on a block doesn't mean he is winning the block. I would not consider that a win.
  15. I have a friend who works for PFF and I just asked him about this and this is what he said. So here's some insight into PFF. "They consider it winning the matchup if you block them for more than 2.5 seconds and anything that happens past 3.5 seconds puts no fault on the OL because it is unrealistic to block for that long. Also only one Texas DL had an above average pass rush win % (Watson) and the others had solid win % but nothing crazy. So basically they can have good grades for blocking pretty well because they weren't given any blame to some of the stuff that took a while to happen. Those grades in the tweet also aren't the 5 starters. Moe Jr got that grade on 2 snaps. The 5th starter was Perry who got a 47 grade. And the DL can still get some + grade for getting sacks after which is why Simmons still got a 92 but the OL isn't blames for that stuff. So probably some is on the QB. Faizon had a 40.7 which was the lowest on the team so I'm guessing that's what PFF would say happened. Faizon also had an average time to throw of 3.79 which is very high and pressure to sack rate of 43.5%, also very high"
  16. Find a consistent early-down offensive identity. Texas needs more first- and second-down success so the offense isn’t constantly living in obvious passing situations. Create more explosive plays in the passing game. Use the bye to identify the concepts, personnel groupings, and pass protection that can produce chunk plays more consistently. Get Jermaine Bishop more involved. He’s flashed enough to warrant more opportunities. Give him more designed touches and chances to use his speed in space. Make the run game more efficient snap-to-snap. Not necessarily more carries, just fewer wasted downs and more dependable gains that keep the offense on schedule. Keep expanding the defensive pressure package. The pass rush is becoming a real strength. Add more stunts, simulated pressures and disguises without changing what’s already working.
  17. I noticed this as well, there was also the low snap to begin the second half. As a QB when you are focused on where the ball is going to go it can take your concentration off of the defense even if just for a short time and then he is playing catch up trying to read the defense a second late.
