Texas 17 Oklahoma 13 Another painful watch. No faith in the Texas offense and play calling. Hope the defense can score to put it over 20.

A team's identity is closely related to their mentality. Offensive talent isn't an issue. The overall scheme has been shown to work. Strong leaders can will themselves to win and be successful and that can elevate the people around them. I have seen that with the Texas defense from multiple players so far. I saw it from Arch in the 4th quarter of Ohio State. The offense seems to need some others to step up and and help will that group to success. I think Goosby can be one of those guys. Vince was an extremely gifted athlete, but his will to win may have been his most important trait.

This kind of makes the Arch struggles a bit more of a head scratcher. A lot of the early struggles last year were due to inexperience and poor pass pro. If the protection continues to hold up, maybe that will help Arch get the ship righted a little quicker this year.

My gut tells me Tennessee will win......But I am wrong a lot, so I will go with 23 - 20 Texas.

Abuse of alcohol and many types of drugs/substances has ruined a lot of lives. To each his own within the parameters of the law. My only issue is the lack of courtesy around other people. If I wanted to smell burnt skunk, I would set some roadkill on fire. I occasionally like to smoke a fine cigar. I know other people don't appreciate the smell or the second hand smoke, so I smoke them on my porch, boat, or on a walk in the woods. That is my opinion. Now you can take my opinion and add a penny to it and you will still only have one cent.

I think Winston is one of those guys who you could say is "just a football Player". Not prototypical size for his position, but he makes plays. I've been impressed with his blocking as well.

Jeff, I believe that the Texas State QB and receivers are solid players, but how much can their numbers from last year be attributed to their strength of schedule versus pure, raw talent? Are they likely NFL type talents?
