    @Bobby Burton, be sure to get to Monk's Cafe and Standard Tap when you get back to Philly for graduation! ...and I've seen a lot of cool college sporting events but Penn Relays is top 5 (J. Charles was running the 100m).

    I don't think I ever recall a coach being fired and an outside replacement hired during a season? As a Rice alum (UT undergrad), happy for Pierce and Rice, but .... weird.

    Spent a few years at Penn. I've seen almost all of the Ivies participate in one sport or another. Franklin Field and The Palestra are awesome, but back in early aughts, many/most Texas High Schools had better facilities than Penn Baseball. In fact, I've seen better maintained Little League facilities.

    2001 Big XII Championship was awful. I dropped everything during finals to make that game in person. Watching the UF vs. Tennessee game on the monitors in Texas Stadium before kickoff, getting an early lead, then the complete team-wide meltdown. Then that awful roughing the punter. Down by 2+ TDs at half, coming back to take the lead with fewer than 90 seconds, Gideon's dropped INT and then that stupid play.
