  1. Just to be repetitive, some of the struggles in the run game are on #6 and #9 and the TEs.
  2. Rewatching the UTEP game, at least a few of the run plays that were blown up are on TE blocking and few others are on RBs not hitting holes. It looks like our guys on offense, especially #6 and #9, are still playing "thud" reps. On the bright side, Townsend continue to lay the wood and was basically uncovered on Arch's INT in the end zone.
  3. You posted the sunshine thread last night, now you’re in panic mode? 🤘
  4. What happened, sunshine?
  5. ☀️☀️☀️☀️ ...and VY had Ced Benson in the backfield 😉 ☀️☀️☀️☀️
  6. I think we got shutout by OU that year, so we'll see ...
  7. You really did. Most people were concerned about the OL going into the season. I think pretty much everyone at OTF expressed that in August. OL play has been inconsistent. They played pretty well against Ohio State. Tre Wisner was out for San Jose State. Tre Wisner and CJ Baxter were out for UTEP. We ran for 200+ yards against UTEP. The OL has actually played a bit better than I expected.
  8. Straight sets 🤘
  9. redshirt freshman
  10. VY got benched at home in the 10th game of the season in 2003 and then got benched again in the bowl game.
  11. ...and I meant to say, your post-game write ups are stellar, thanks for your work 🤘
  12. @Jeff Howe - while it was an ugly game on a hot afternoon in front of a cranky stadium, I think we should at least acknowledge that we rushed for 226 yards? I'm also excited about James Simon.
  13. Here’s some real deal NIL- https://x.com/pterrys/status/1966545435465523525?s=46
  14. Townsend, Washington, Winston, McCutcheon, Lockett on offense. Sharma and J. Terry on defense and Jonah Williams returning punts.
  15. Dannnng, nice seats, @Neil Leininger🤘
  16. Horns, 21-17. No Wisner, no Moore, OL and TE blocking struggles continue with UTEP's pressure. ...and knowing what I know about Sark and injuries after 5 years, I bet Endries and Taaffe are limited as well.
  17. Good grief, talk about a young team in high leverage situations. Four wins in top 15 matches in two weeks (and traveling to Madison, Houston and Fort Worth), two insane 5th set comebacks in the span of 4 days. Football should take note.
  18. Two of our top three RBs are coming off injuries that have ended other football careers. I'm waiting for more game reps.
  19. Can remember back in 2001 when it was "Greg's holding back for OU".
  20. @Jeff Howe, any chance we can get a thread on the board for Second Watch (or whatever it's going to be called going forward)? It's one of my favorite OTF features. I know y'all can't share video, but it would be awesome if you could reference game clock times for specific formations, schemes etc. I ask, because Rod mentioned 14 personnel and I totally missed that watching in DKR and when I watched the ABC broadcast. ...whatever the case, great content.🤘
  21. Thanks for posting here @DirectorsCupUpdates🤘
  22. I don't make the lines, I just post them 🤘😉
  23. Line as of Sunday night is Texas -41.5. UTEP's first game vs. Utah State is available here - https://youtu.be/ubmg5nAWyWA?si=75fK3pLFiPUNN6nD
  24. All due respect, but we have no idea what "good routes" should look like these days. A WR could be running to grass or reading safeties on some weird choice route. CFB broadcasts rarely even include all the receivers on the field, much less the defensive backfields.
  25. That match was insane. Young team living on the edge.🤘
