    I read something years ago about the Air Raid. I know Riley isn't running the AirRaid per se, but he was steeped in that tradition. It's not merely an offensive system, it's a philosophy of football based on offensive reps and it's not conducive to sound defensive play. USC looks to have some impressive athletes on defense, but I agree, it will be interesting to see if he they can play competent defense.

    Hines jumps off the screen. Will be interesting to see how Riley fares at USC in the next few years. Casual LA fans are going to expect him to turn that #1 recruiting class into an instant contender but do they get over the hump and into the CFP next year? How much can they add in the portal after going all in on their HS class?

    Well, a few months ago it was D-League and European pros and now it's the 31st pick in the actual NBA draft. So what's to stop players that don't get drafted to their liking in the NFL from returning to play their remaining eligibility? Apparently, nothing?

    The portal is like CFB fairyland. Things will change in the next 11 days, but there aren't many "starter level" portal players out there this year. Hell, Lefau is currently the 2nd overall LB available in the portal.

    He’s right, it sucks. Put bowl participation in the damned NIL contracts. If you portal or opt out for the draft, the player is responsible for penalties on reneging on their contract to…actually play a full season of football.

    Interesting, but we already have Bass Concert Hall for those shows. I just don't see where it fits in for a company trying to recoup their investment on construction. Obviously, CDC et al know better than I, just curious what the angle will be.

    Good find. I understand how they could get private developers to build the Moody Center, but where's the income on a smaller volleyball venue and some housing?

    @Bobby Burton can confirm if I'm confabulating, but I remember the early enrollees having physicals in Dec and going through team workouts for the CFP.
