  1. Losing opening game seven straight series and getting five series wins. Pierce’s rope-a-dope strategy works again.
  2. I'm always confused by the usage of "pied piper" in recruiting circles. In the legend of the "pied piper" isn't he a sociopath that leads children to their disappearance or death? Whatever the case, OTF rules.
  3. Another weekend, another Friday night stinker. Let's see if Pierce can keep pulling conference series out of his ass.
  4. Would love to know some background on his combine prep. Was he injured? Whoever he worked with did him no favors. He's looked really heavy at the Spring Game.
  5. Y'all killed it on the livestream. Haven't watched a draft in forever and didn't intend to tonight, but that was a lot of fun.🤘
  6. david-pierce-texas-baseball-coach-suspended-two-games-after-longhorns-vs-tcu-ejection-on-sunday
  7. Pierce has been suspended for the UTA game and first game in the OU series for excessive protest/arguing. Given we're already down one paid coach, not the best look, particularly arguing a call that the umpires got right.
  8. Good points. I think Josh Heupel is going to have a little something extra for that game in Norman.
  9. All these midweek losses are killing our RPI, but we're in it until we're not and then CDC can work it out. 🤘
  10. Just messing with you and trying to keep your thread at the top, I hope someone chimes in with the info you need!
  11. Posse East or Crown & Anchor.
  12. You've been hanging out with Gerry too long. You have his warped sense of "fun". 😎
  13. It's hard to tell - does their defense or offense suck worse?
  14. Sorry I missed this one, out of town on vacation. Would have been awesome to meet Bobby and Rod and to teach @Gerry Hamilton the proper pronunciation of "LORENA".
  15. For anyone just casually following along, Pierce's pitching staff had ELEVEN walks and hit NINE batters in a single game.
  16. That's BS. CDC will get it done. This is Pierce's 66-3, he can't recover from this humiliation. Pierce is the pitching coach. He chose to enter the season relying on LBJ and Witt as starters. He's responsible for this mess. Goodbye and Good Luck.
  17. @Gerry Hamilton your pronunciation of Lorena is killing those of us from Central Texas. The Blackwells are too polite 😁
  18. Somehow didn’t know that!
  19. So Kentucky goes from Nate Oats, Dan Hurley, Jay Wright to Scott Drew 😏 to.... BYU's Mark Pope? Pope doesn't have a single tournament win?
  20. I didn't realize his breakout game as a freshman was against Texas? That career began in 1967, Simpson's first year at USC. In Week 2, he announced himself to the larger college world by running all over the Texas Longhorns. Things didn't start off well for Simpson... At the 10-yard line in the first quarter, he fumbled, leading to an 85-yard Longhorns drive and a touchdown. That'd be the only time Texas would lead for the game. Two possessions later, the Trojans tied the game after Simpson punched it in from the 2-yard line. They continued to feed their running back, controlling the clock and scoring another touchdown courtesy of a pass from quarterback Steve Sogge to receiver Bob Miller. Texas ended up falling 17-14 and Simpson finished with 158 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries. While not his best performance of the season, he had carried USC's offense against one of the best teams in the nation. Yeah, I know nobody reads or has access to the Statesman....
  21. Talk unscripted for an hour + a day and something is going to eventually come out wrong. 🤘
  22. @Gerry Hamilton, it’s pronounced la-REENA! Great week of shows, y’all!
  23. I agree, when betting is legitimized and institutionalized by the sanctioning bodies of all sports and celebrated on ESPN and even local news, why are we surprised when players get involved?
  24. Bobby’s emphatic comments on Bear Alexander make a lot more sense now😎 In all seriousness, sounds like we're all lucky this didn’t result in something a lot worse.
  25. Blair begins his career with a 4-pitch walk followed by a 3-2 single.
