  1. Also of note (from the original link)- Netflix is doing a documentary about the scandal.
  2. Moore will be gone after a year.
  3. Sark probably has Michigan's analysts working overtime in a panic after reading accounts of Silas Bolden's potential during 3 hours of media availability.
  4. The Athletic published a pretty detailed account of how this went down. It's behind a paywall, but a couple of things I learned - - The Canady family had been shopping for a seven-figure NIL deal since her freshman year. People at Stanford were surprised that she didn't leave after her first year. - Texas probably wasn't even in the running - she scheduled visits to Tennessee, Alabama, UCLA and Kansas. The unprecedented million-dollar recruitment of the nation’s best softball player (I'm not sure she's the nation's best softball player, but that's the headline)
  5. Sark should open some Fall practices to the public. Have good memories of watching Mack's practices at Intramural Fields and Denius. I would pay Nebraska's $25 admission to see the last practice in shorts in DKR.
  6. He’s made as much money in 4 years (~$4-5M?) than I’ll make in my lifetime, he’ll be ok.
  7. What if I told you Quinn has 6 career rushing TDs in two years? Including TDs of 16 and 30 yards? I'M NOT A STATUE
  8. Sark's Cleve confiscated their phones.
  9. I'm embarrassed I clicked on the link.
  10. Agreed. I have to listen to replays in the afternoon, I was hoping Gerry would ask Coach Shipley if he had ever sat a player in anticipation of the playoffs.
  11. That's awesome, thanks for bringing it to our attention, Bobby! 🤘
  12. No to squabble with Blake, but it's not a poll, it's a model from NYT/The Athletic based on "play-by-play data to make a projection for each college football team. The projections are not only made up of box score statistics but also returning production, recruiting rankings and transfers." I have no idea what "play-by-play data" are. It's behind paywall... https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5653691/2024/07/25/college-football-model-projection-preseason-top-25/
  13. I think many people sincerely feel the site merits commemoration. I'm sure that will ultimately get incorporated into the design.
  14. @CJ Vogel, your post says Auburn to Alabama, tweet says Alabama to Auburn? Whatever the case, not sure this is the guy we're looking for...
  15. Update - The Texas Historical Commission approved giving the site "State Antiquities Landmark" status today. Construction ain't gong to begin in 2024, this is going to take some time.
  16. Great point.
  17. Also, no Alfred Collins in this game?
  18. Johnny Nansen, man. Never use the same formation, always have at least one blitzer. Rush Trey Moore.
  19. Also, off the top of my head, here's a list of 4⭐ + QBs at Texas that never developed into bona fide sustained starters over the last 15 years - GG (transfer) David Ash (injuries) Tyrone Swoopes Jerrod Heard Shane Beuchele (transfer) Hudson Card (transfer) Maalik Murphy (transfer) We all want these QB commits to make it to UT and succeed, but the hit rate is not 100%.
  20. I'm eager to hear Gerry's responses, but I have to laugh after the going through 13 years with no depth at QB and sometimes barely a viable starter.
  21. They definitely seem to have some motivated boosters for NIL. Not enough to sustain an entire roster to compete nationally, but seems they're being strategic in focusing on a handful of high-profile targets. For some perspective, Mike White (at last count) made ~ $625K a year as HC of Texas Softball. Can't find Glasco's salary at TTU, but he was making $225K at UL-La. Weird deal. I guess softball will be returning to Olympics in 2028, maybe there's an angle there with Adidas etc.
  22. Appreciate the off-season baseball coverage. 🤘
  23. from Palo Alto to .... Lubbock. 🤣 I guess she's from Kansas and Lubbock is like Kansas sans any vegetation.
  24. wtf. From Stanford to ..... Texas Tech.
  25. Good points. I think we're about to see a lot of smaller schools drop football. I know most don't care, but this would seem to really change the CFB landscape.
