  1. "The State Antiquities Landmark status is the highest level of historic destination (sic) from the state, according to the Texas Historical Commission. Properties with the status must have a permit from the Texas Historical Commission before they are removed, altered, damaged, salvaged or excavated. The commission’s Antiquities Advisory Board recommended in April that the full commission give landmark status to the social work building." That's the key paragraph. Regardless of whether the highest level of historic designation is granted, it will just require a permit to be demolished and the entire membership of that commission was appointed by the sitting Governor. They'll incorporate an existing hall or classroom or facade into the design of the practice facility and it will get done. Just a matter of time.
  2. Might be waiting awhile, that site might be in jeopardy- https://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/state-commission-could-give-landmark-status-for-historic-ut-austin-building-set-to-be-demolished/
  3. The "Hi" has never been a "crystal ball" or "RPM". A "Hi" is a privilege for a privileged audience. Y'all going to FAFO and ruin it for those of us that can handle the vicissitudes of recruiting. (my weekend tantrums notwithstanding)
  4. Also, the Big XII media days appear to be sponsored by Totino's. As a lover of frozen pizzas, I'm still embarrassed for Brett. I was hoping it was a casino I'd never heard of, but nope it's $1.97 Totino's in your frozen pizza section.
  5. To answer my own question above, this was an interview at BigXII media days. I don't understand the math, but definitely seems calculated.
  6. I've thought many times over the years, "Gundy's trying to get fired". Unfortunately, Boone is dead and Gundy's been there so long, nobody in Stillwater is can call him on his bullsh*t. Is that the BigXII media days?
  7. https://facilitiesservices.utexas.edu/services/surplus-property-moving-services/surplus-reuse-store I've never seen scoreboards there, but I have seen lots of football and baseball and basketball unis and those little traffic booths that used to be at each entrance to San Jacinto sold there.
  8. Appreciate your work, @Chasing Clouds 🤘
  9. Penn State over Florida State? Penn State over Nebraska? Penn State over Florida? I guess we need an operational definition of "blue blood". Lot's of recency bias in that list, but agree, interesting conversation.🤘
  10. I don't think it's any coincidence that Sark's X account tweeted - "THE PRIDE AND WINNING TRADITION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WILL NOT BE ENTRUSTED TO THE WEAK OR TIMID" this weekend. I think the Duncanville kid burned that bridge. Good luck to his family, they seem like good people.
  11. @Blake Munroe any chance he ever sees campus or is he a MLB draft lock? Looks like he's projected in upper half of draft?
  12. He's ditching the arm bands, too? Hope DMo gets healed and on the field this year.
  13. Good luck to all the Gulf Coast and ETX folks 🤘
  14. I’m 50 and you’re still using HDMI? …but be real clear about the current state of NIL for me?
  15. Take the L, @CJ Vogel. This says more about the state of group think in Texas recruiting circles and lack of legitimate info than anything else. Unless y'all are going to share more on how your info went so wrong? ..and not just allusions to "NIL". Got any real numbers? Got any real info?
  16. When Stoops took Peterson and Tommie Harris and Bomar and others out of Texas, we thought TEXAS would never win another game against OU. We went on a pretty good run after those recruiting losses. It all worked out. Given we won't see Oregon until a playoff game, these recruiting "losses" don't sting as much.
  17. Apparently you weren't around for early aughts? OU did what they pleased in Texas.
  18. I respect Bobby and Gerry more than anyone in the industry, and I know they love B. Brown, but losing an undersized DT isn't a program killer. I'm sure Bo has convinced him he's the next Byron Murphy II, but we'll see. As Bobby alluded to this afternoon, these DT threads remind me of all the desperate Edge conversations barely a year ago. Posters soiled theyselves after Ochaun Mathis picked Nebraska over Texas last summer. Turns out everything worked just fine.
  19. I agree, but is one healthy year enough to vault him into the first round?
  20. The closest person left around our programs is Craig Way. John Bianco probably has some stories, too. ….but you’re right, there won’t be another Bill Little🤘
  21. Weigman in the first round strains credulity, but that doesn’t preclude some dumb NFL exec from actually making that pick.
  22. ...and why do we care about Kansas St?
  23. Pretty damn perfect job by Schloss recruiting last year's roster 🤘
  24. Appreciate the work, @EHoff99. I haven't been keeping up with class rankings much, but was surprised to see us at ~ #16 after Orogbo committed. It's early and we have far fewer recruits than most of the classes ahead of us, but I like being informed in the event that I run into some Aggies over the holiday weekend.
