    I know it's not the popular opinion, but the normalization of sports betting is bewildering to me and not good for much of anyone other than the corporations making money.

    I really like Rick Barnes as a person and representative of the university and I'd take Barnes success. ...but tonight reminded me why so many people were ready for Barnes to leave. His brand of basketball is UGLY and he's only one assertive officiating crew away from a loss on most nights. I remember lots of spirited conversations with Barnes detractors back in the day - the most knowledgable and informed of those detractors being @Gerry Hamilton.

    Guess we can’t all be happy with a 12 point win in the tournament (the line was -3), but sure we can agree it was cool seeing TJ on a national ATT commercial!

    Even in the dark decade, we've had some really productive backs in the NFL. Fozzy, Malcolm Brown, D'Onta Foreman, hell Bijan was part of that era.

    Recruiting Texas was essential to his pitch. I was living in Philadelphia and working with a couple of former college athletes when Mack won his national championship. Everyone knew I was a UT alum and everyone watched that game. The first thing those former athletes said the next morning? How cool it was that Mack thanked Texas HS coaches with that trophy in his hand.
