I honestly think Burke, with more playing time, is about to shine. If Vasek can get his health right, he'll be a weapon. We also have Moore back and Umeozulu coming a long. Can't hurt to kick the tires on a guy like this though, very impressive young man.

That entire offense is going to be a massive question mark. A complete offensive redo, with completely new offensive players is not going to go as well as people think. Plus they lost a lot on D, too.

I think it would make everyone comfortable to have some on field experience in that room. I have no doubt the room is talented, but they have barely any snaps between all of them.

I agree with you here. We can't just shift all the agency to the players and not give the colleges a leg to stand on. If you want to be paid and treated like professionals, than that is what happens. Although I think the Murphy situation was weird, because he played really well there and I don't think he deserved that treatment from them. But that is unfortunately the reality of college sports now. They wanted to be paid, well there is pro's and con's to that.

See, this is part of the NIL stuff that I don't like. I'm all for players getting paid, but now it's starting to be more and more like the NFL. This is just stupid, imo.

She better hope she doesn't live in Texas or she might get arrested.

Sorry to bring this up, but what is the difference we're seeing so far between Coach Terry in the portal vs Coach Miller in the portal? Is it just the calibre of player? Bigger, more athletic players? I know a lot of people were unhappy with Coach Terry's portal acquisitions, so I'm just wondering how Coach Miller stacks up with that.

Flood got some tough choices to make when it comes to the OL. Seems like everyone showing up and putting in the work.

Oil and Gas guy, billionaire and former Texas Tech football player in the early 2000's. He's one of two that is throwing a ton of monetary support behind Tech.

Not just about the bag. At Tech, he is a superstar and will be on the field all the time. At Texas, he might not have even started, let alone been on the field all the time. Though Tech does seem to be throwing money at anything with substance in the portal. McGuire better figure it out this year, because he really has no excuses.

Fair call.

I just read a short list not long ago of: Brad Underwood Chris Vans Porter Moser I'd say Underwood would tell them no. Vans and Moser would be more likely to say yes, right? Was Beard at the top of their board or just one of the guys they were kicking the tires on?

Haven't seen him do much at Texas, but his HS tape at Mater Dei would indicate he has some athleticism to him. If anything, at 6'7 250, you could be a massive redzone threat for Manning to just high point the ball and you go grab it.

Baker better be ready for a battle, because Cojoe is a big dude and he wants some playing time.

But more importantly, you love to see it!

I wasn't sure where to ask about this, but have we heard any news on who Coach Miller is going to bring in for his staff?

I've seen people say on here and other sites that Coach Miller from Xavier would be the lead choice for Texas. This might be a stupid question, so apologies in advance but what makes him a great choice for Texas? I wasn't overly impressed with his Xavier team against Texas yesterday but then I also am very uneducated on all things Basketball, so I could be WAY off on that, lol. It felt like Texas shot itself in the foot more than Xavier just straight up beat us.

I bet after the Jacksonville fiasco, he wonders if he should've said yes, lol.

I'm not well versed in the Basketball world as I'd like to be, but what makes this a home run hire, according to Mr Fanta over here.

"Only makes 6M a year" - Man I wish I only made 6 million a year, lol.

That sucks man....

I love how they put "money whip" only for Texas, lol.

Better crack that sucker all the way open now, lol.

I tell you what, Coach Terry is definitely doing a better job with this team now that they're healthy. Weaver has made a huge difference for this team, imo. We'll see if they can make the tourney, two pretty gutsy wins but if Coach Terry keep's winning and somehow makes a run in the tournament, where we would he have to get to, to keep his job? Another elite 8 run? I know it's not guarantee that we make the tourney but we've at least done what we needed in the SEC toruney, right? Get at least two wins.

From what I know of Kirk Bohls, probably his imaginary friends.
