  1. I remember saying (not on here) that they should've gone hard after Hardy in the portal. I remember people telling me how stupid I was because we had Wisner, Baxter, Clark, etc. I just remember watching him at ULM when he was a Fr and they played us, he had some great runs even against us that year. All hindsight, obviously. But I hope they do a better job of that next year when breaking in either Lacey or Bell.
  2. Hopefully they can retain him and the other DL guys through the off-season.
  3. I had to do a double take and wonder why Simmons was posting about Missouri practices lol.
  4. Edit: Misread the question, I think Philo the transfer.
  5. Let it consume you.
  6. If this is how things are or heading that way, the whole system needs to be redone. Because I'm all for players being paid but if it's costing this much, it needs to be revised big time.
  7. I want to say yes, but if he can't then Sark has already set the precedent with PK. Flood shouldn't be given special treatment.
  8. With Nick Brooks, I think if you hadn't thrown him into the fire that early you could've coached him up through this off-season to play G for you. Might've played a role in his leaving after the season, who knows? From what I've been able to tell he's still only a depth piece at Bama, I think he's on the two deep at RT? I agree about Stroh, his feet were really slow. But that also goes back to Flood and his development, did you not notice this before you put him out there? Feels like you set the young man up for failure there. Did they not try Robertson at C and Hutson at LG in fall camp? So many questions, I guess we'll get some answers sooner rather than later.
  9. #FFN, we gotta be fancy and abbreviate it for him lol.
  10. Now you're on the Nansen fire train? Lol.
  11. Texas wins the Natty going 16-0 and Gerry comes out with a box of corndogs with mayo for Bobby to "enjoy".
  12. I'm curious though, if we praise Muschamp and give him some credit for the Georgia teams defense when he was co-DC, does Nansen share any of the blame for the mishaps of the defense while he is co-DC at Texas? I mean I personally like the guy but was just thinking about that today.
  13. Ah, not so good then.
  14. I'd add Umeozulu in that mix, too. There's tons of weapons for Muschamp to utilize. I want QB's terrified of playing our defensive front.
  15. I remember seeing J.Terry in flashes last year and he looked unblockable at times and being disruptive. If he's healthy this year and can be utilize more under Muschamp, I think he'll have a great year,
  16. Wesley and Atkinson are going to be great Longhorn players. Especially in Muschamp's scheme. Same with J.Terry, I'm super excited to see him get more playing time. They have so much good, young talent on the roster.
  17. Also, not t hat I think they could keep them all around but a duo of Cooper and Simon next with Terry as the 3rd back would be an interesting set up. I know Simon is buried on the depth chart and a possible portal candidate in the off-season, but I liked what I saw from him last year.
  18. I mean it just makes sense, imo.
  19. I see some people have poor reading comprehension when it comes to the note about LG and why it's listed like that lol. Also, don't downplay guys like Chatman or Sikorski. They're not going to just hand Seymore the job. Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this but is Berkhalter out of eligibility after this year or because of 5 for 5 he'll have another year next year? If he can come back, with Lockett, McHutechon, Bishop, etc. Hell even Mosley if he doesn't have the year he wants. Sets a good floor for your WR room going into next year. Anyway, thanks again Jeff.
  20. I'm excited to see what a healthy Mosley looks like. From the get go. He was impressive when he eventually got to play. McHutcheon, Lockett and Bishop could be your guys next year. They will get snaps but you really don't want to take off your big 3 for too long. I do hope Berkhalter gets some run too.
  21. From my understanding, Baseball was more about retention and adding a few pieces through the portal. I'd say from what I've read from people who know more about it than I do, we knocked it out of the park in that regard. With some talented Fr heading to campus, too. Basketball absolutely killed it in the off-season. Listening and reading Gerry's takes on this has been amazing and has me excited for that season to start. Football filled all of it's needs and then some. Some great additions, good retention and hopefully this translates to the field.
  22. Just not from the right hash....
  23. Wish him all the best, hope he lands a spot.
  24. That doesn't make sense, considering Ohio State is also a nike school. Unless it's something to do with the KD+Nike deal?
  25. Look, if the game is shifting that way, you don't have a choice but to adapt to it. If you don't, you get left behind and become a Dabo Swinney. Whenever it does happen, I think CDC and the people involved in that decision making process will do right by Texas and find the best deal possible.
