One can quibble about vocabulary to describe offense, but all one needs to do is watch Texas on offense, watch higher level teams, and then one sees the difference clearly. Talent isn't the biggest issue.

True. Just don't believe that Texas isn't competitive in NIL or resources for basketball. Plenty of schools without anything close to Texas resources that are better.

NBA has sucked for at least fifteen years. True, it's all offense now because of NBA rules and refs, but the college game isn't called the same. Need a guy who can recruit and motivate a bunch of prima donnas to move the ball and their bodies on offense rather than standing for threes and picks while also hustling on defense.

It's basketball, not football. More games, more variation. I wish the Longhorns were better, but they aren't.

The Longhorns are a bubble team and A&M is sitting at a two seed. There's a reason for that.

A&M's men's basketball team is much better than the Horns. Apparel deals don't change that.

Where do these numbers come from?

I'm interested in this NIL talk that keeps popping up here. Are the people saying this relatives of players who think they aren't getting enough? Texas obviously spent well in the portal this past offseason.

The Quinn revisionist stance by many Texas fans is somewhat baffling. Quinn can make every throw. As Gerry always says, Sark doesn't take a QB that can't make all the throws. Quinn's inconsistency on longer throws comes from his inconsistent mechanics and footwork. Dropping the ball below chest level, not keeping his feet ready for all throws, trying to rely solely on his arm talent, etc. He could get away with that on short to intermediate throws, although he would sometimes sling the ball rather than driving it on those throws too, which led to some of his interceptions. At the beginning of seasons, his mechanics and footwork were better. As the season went along and he got dinged up, his fundamentals would slide. Scouts and GMs must decide if they think they can straighten out those things. If they think they can, then Quinn is as good or better than QB in this draft. Problem is, he hasn't done it yet. He is only 21, however.
