  1. Red zone doesn't matter when the receiver drops a touchdown that Quinn perfectly placed. Quinn stepped up in the pocket. He scrambled and delivered accurate passes under duress. Texas didn't lose because of Quinn. They lost because Auburn choked and they didn't react quickly enough to the QB change.
  2. You're wrong. Quinn was the only reason we had a chance against Georgia. He's not great. I'd rather have Arch. He's better than you are giving credit for.
  3. I'm thinking SEC refs are dumber than Big 12 refs.
  4. I want to call out Gerry. He's being too hard on Quinn. I called for Arch during the second bye week. Quinn hasn't been as good as he should, but Gerry is going too far. Quinn was our best offensive player against Georgia. He didn't "fail" in the red zone. Golden dropped a touchdown. Quinn is the only reason we moved the ball.
  5. Looks like Rodney Terry still doesn't know how to coach offense.
  6. What about using Trey Moore as a big LB next season?
  7. Any word on Trey Moore coming back? If he does, you can play him quite a bit a LB, starting Burke as strong side edge and Simmons as weak side edge. That would fix our potential LB need and make the whole defense better like moving Barron from nickel to corner this year.
  8. Don't forget Golden dropped a touchdown in the end zone. Golden made a couple of nice catches, but he dropped a potential game winner. Thus it's not really correct to say Quinn didn't make any game winning throws when he had the chance. Again, I wish Arch had been made the starter during the second bye week, but some of this is a bit hyperbolic.
  9. We'll see if it's true. You don't want a guy to get injured, but won't feel bad for Kirby and dawg fans that like to be smug.
  10. Looks like Texas may have knocked Georgia out of the playoff after all. Reports are Beck has an elbow ligament tear.
  11. A guy who played for a team in the '24 season is ineligible to play for another team during the same season.
  12. I haven't looked at pressure rate numbers, but I don't think OSU pressures the QB as much as Georgia. I know their linebackers don't have the speed of the Georgia linebackers. Their secondary is much better than Georgia, close to ours.
  13. I would argue the main reason for higher potential upside next season is Arch. If he can consistently elevate the offense, we should be better even if the defense isn't quite as smothering.
  14. The level of analysis and commentary at the national level has dramatically declined the last five or so years. Maybe that's because of the proliferation of team specific sources like we have here. There's more money to be made by specializing and targeting a narrower but more motivated market.
  15. Sark has given no indication that he's willing to give significant time to Arch in the current circumstances. There isn't going to be a wholesale Arch red zone or any other package. He's going with Quinn unless Quinn gets knocked out.
  16. I'm not on the Sellers bandwagon. I'll bet he suffers the proverbial sophomore slump next season.
  17. Who did Beck come back against this season other than UMass and Georgia Tech? They were down early against Florida, but not in the second half. Same thing with Tennessee. I ask again: Who played better yesterday?
  18. I disagree. Now, I said during the second bye week that Sark needed to make the switch to Arch if he wanted to have a chance at running the table and winning the national title. The only logical reason I can come up with for not making the switch is that Sark thought it might result in locker room problems, and that was worse than Quinn's down side. I hope he was right.
  19. You don't have to go to the portal to add a kicker.
  20. Why? Is he more accurate? Does he read defenses better? Does he make more plays?
  21. By the way, Quinn was the best offensive skill player for either team on the field yesterday. Itwasn't Etienne or Golden or Moore. It was Quinn. He didn't make the game winning play when he could have, but he made more big plays than anyone else.
  22. He might be, but that doesn't make him a better pick. Who was the better QB yesterday?
  23. Don't you think Sark would have already done that if he was going to?
  24. My guess is that more than a few NFL GMs will think Quinn can be a serviceable back-up, and he'll be drafted third or fourth round. I think Beck is a much bigger gamble than Quinn, He's not as accurate and he doesn't make as many good throws.
  25. I'd rather play South Carolina than Tennessee.
