I don’t think so. His offense still plays in today’s game. He didn’t have good enough players at the end. I’d like to see us incorporate his hurry up offense every now and then to change things up. He’s as good as there is at the hurry up no huddle offense. I’m not saying stay in that all the time but occasionally go into it. It helps so defenses can’t substitute. We aren’t hiring Gundy but this is just good message board talk.

Hey guys having to drive up to Dallas from Austin today, my mom was scheduled to have heart surgery in October but had to be pushed up to today because of worries from the cardiologist. Gundy got crapped on towards the end, and deservedly so for some things, but he still had his fastball in scouting they just couldn't really play ball on the $ side of college football. This dude had commitments at Oklahoma F-ing State from Kelvin Banks and Jelani McDonald and almost had Warren Roberson at one point. And I know Texas fans hate Ollie Gordon, but he's another good example of Gundy still having it towards the end. Ollie had a few big offers but wasn't a take at any of those schools. OKST prioritized and recruited the crap out of him and to the point where he didn't even consider Texas when they came in late and offered him right before signing day. Would love to see him and Gary Patterson on a podcast or something at some point. Very different but very similar
