This stuff goes with the sport. If you consume the sport, you must take it as part of the investment. -

Well you're assuming that the players would share facts that potentially make them look bad and undesirable to schools. Like I said, I think both the school/coaches and players have probably decided or agreed to not talk about it and just move on. In the end, what's done is done and I'm more interested in who we're replacing them with. Lots of good choices out there. -

Yes and No, if I’m at another school and I want those players to jump in the portal I’m going to get that information leaked to the media. That’s just the world we live in now days. - Today

It might just be that simple. -
Cam probably wanted way more than he was worth. Yeah.. great shot kid.. but you couldn't dribble a spider drill if your life depended on it. He was a liability on O unless he was screening or shooting and his defense was up and down. His game would have to grow exponentially for me to be worried about him hitting the portal. That's just me though. Not a big loss to me.

I'm thinking it's a better of 2 evils thing. I think if they talk about it openly, it doesn't reflect on well on the school because of the possible actions they did or did not do pertaining to those players during the season. So they'd just rather people speculate and think they are leaving because of playing time or NIL etc. -
Athletics dept fiscal breakdown

I would calculate it differently ... football has higher gross income than BB ($63 million vs $39 million) but basketball has higher net income after expenses ($23 million BB vs $14 million FB). Which sounds crazy to me ... -

LSU has four girls in the Portal. Mulkey thought she would only lose 1.
