  1. Past hour
  2. He is going to have a lot of visits. If you are gonna get worked up each time, its gonna be a long year for you
  3. I agree with Gerry that high school recruiting is still the lifeblood of consistent college football programs, but just can't take silly recruiting drama seriously.
  4. This is going to be like watching a close basketball game. You only need to watch the final minute. He's going to bounce back and forth between Baton Rouge and Austin...........he just is. What counts is what happens days (or hours) before National Signing day. In spite of those facts.........let the panic begin.
  5. magic 8 ball says he's a longhorn when it's all said and done.
  6. sorry wr just don’t worry me. overrated position. can find them in portal
  7. Going to be full of twists and turns.
  8. So you’re saying Arch was indeed partly responsible for not making the playoffs? I agree, but that’s not really the narrative on the boards I read. This years team has more margin for error than last. The focus is largely on the portal, but it’s also because guys like Arch, Wingo, Goosby, Baker and Simmons are more mature and should cut down on the misses.
  9. So we think she’s raising Mikey’s kid? This has a As the World Turns feel
  10. I’ve boycotted gameday since that guy came on. To each their own I detest him. He’s the Luke Bryan equivalent for college football for me.
  11. Today
  12. Kiper has Malik Muhammad then Endries as the best available horns. The run on TEs has been insane so far, surprised Endries lasted this long
  13. I don't think so. Did Bailey have twice the production of Simmons? That and you must consider the effect of possible chemistry problems caused by money.
  14. Would Bailey been worth it, tho?
  15. Based on Schloss's comments about Cozart last week, I'm guessing he's still trying to stretch Cozart to get him ready for postseason, and he also thinks he can use him twice in a weekend regardless.
  16. This is true, but there are just outright bad evaluations of talent. Taking the likes of Golday and Trotter before Hill is crazy. Drafting Boerkhicher at 56 overall is pure malpractice. Those guys could have easily been drafted in third and fourth round.
  17. Such an inexact science. How do you measure heart, work ethic, fit, desire...the draft is basically a guessing game. There are busts annually. Once the players in the first round see the bag, many just lose the hunger for the game. The Rey Lewis's are few and far between.
  18. South Carolina is loaded. I don't know how some of these girls will get minutes. Jordan Lee is likely backing Tessa Johnson who is starting. Nice problems to have. We will see how much that talent can win.
  19. He makes it basically unwatchable.
  20. Many of these picks make you think that more than half of NFL teams draft with their eyes closed.
  21. Arch was playing horribly early on. He was missing such easy throws that had everyone scratching their head. But he eventually got it going and damn near carried the team to the playoffs. This years team is likely going to see a lot more 1st/2nd round talent in the 2027 draft and will give us a better chance for the playoffs if we can figure it out and not shoot ourselves in the foot. Lot of really talented teams on the schedule.
  22. This. Always got me pumped up for football.
  23. Arch and Goosby both could have come out and been first rounders. We added Moseley and had Moore and Wingo. It’s likely one of those would not have been happy. Plus Endries and some highly recruited high schoolers. There’s a good chance an additional WR does play out as it does in your mind. As far as guard is concerned, that’s an interesting discussion. I don’t recall any discussion about Hutson not being a starter. Generally speaking, we were ok letting Baker and Cojoe battle it out. Going back 12 months, it’s difficult to see Neto or Kibble or Hutson to guard not being viable options. None of us are there all the time, but you’d assume that a well thought of recruit in his 4th year would work out fine. And we had two choices - Neto or Robertson. There are a multitude of things that could have gone differently to make the playoffs. It is a little ironic that Arch was blamed early on but almost is blameless in today’s discussions.
