  2. 1 hour ago, Oldest Horn said: So, not a casual user. More like someone who gets drunk daily. No, that is an abuser. Not someone like me who drinks a beer or two with my meal each day like many Europeans do. So far, my liver and chemistry are clean of any effects because the alcohol metabolizes so quickly and leaves no permanent damage that is either measurable or observable. Alcohol is not fat-soluble, so it is not stored in the brain like the narcotics and other chemicals in marijuana.

  16. Sure, below are some articles on the growing evidence. Now there is one caveat. These studies apply to regular, habitual users (daily), not to people who only smoked (or ate it) it occasionally, as most of us kids in the 70s did. Not only were our tokes infrequent due to strict laws and lack of supply, but it pot was 10x less potent than it is today. Also, in no way am I saying that pot is more harmful than alcohol because the medical experts that quantify all the harmful effects of mentally altering substances say alcohol has potentially more dangerous effects on the body if abused than does marijuana. I'm just saying some studies are now showing that marijuana is not without long-term risks, even for the casual daily user: cognitively, psychologically, and physically (pneumo). And the secondhand smoke is harmful to others, just as with cigarette smoke. 17. Sending all the love and positive energy to your mom. SHE GOT THIS!!! Show her the 4th quarter of the Ohio State game before the surgery to remind her of TEXAS FIGHT
  18. I don’t think so. His offense still plays in today’s game. He didn’t have good enough players at the end. I’d like to see us incorporate his hurry up offense every now and then to change things up. He’s as good as there is at the hurry up no huddle offense. I’m not saying stay in that all the time but occasionally go into it. It helps so defenses can’t substitute. We aren’t hiring Gundy but this is just good message board talk.
  19. Prayers for you and your family!
  20. Best of luck! Will be thinking of ya and sending prayers
  21. Hey guys having to drive up to Dallas from Austin today, my mom was scheduled to have heart surgery in October but had to be pushed up to today because of worries from the cardiologist. Please keep my family in y’all’s prayers, I know we’re a tight knit community so I will update this board once we get results after the surgery. Thank you & Hook’Em
  22. No he is completely washed. Game has passed him by.
