  1. Past hour
  2. To back your point , see Keelon Russell yesterday against Tenn. Tenn., D made him look bad.
  3. To your point, I thought Russell at Bama was elite . Tenn. D yesterday made him look like , well, like Arch has looked in some games. I think one reason we lost yesterday is going for it end of first half at mid field with two TD lead giving them short field to go down and score. We can not pick up fourth and one . I think Arch needs to transfer and play another year. Go to Indiana or Kentucky or LSU and see what they can do with him. Really like the kid but not working out here. By the way, we are not only ranked team to lose yesterday. Never seen anything like yesterday. Can we say parity?
  4. Today
  5. If you are worried about being good in basketball ... you will be be good. If you are a national title or bust ...nobody is saying that.
  6. Cal hasn't made poor adjustments. He hasn't made any in game adjustments that qualify as tactical manipulation, You know John Wooden won ten titles. Coach K won five titles. Roy Williams won three titles. Bob Knight won three titles. The list goes on. Cal's had more talent than any of those coaches. No one who knows anything about basketball thinks Cal is close to someone like Pitino as an actual coach.
  7. This right here. Blocking matters hitting wide open receivers matters too but how many sacks are we giving up and even worse how many are happening when we really can’t afford them
  8. Everyone would rather have more than one. You're downplaying winning a title. You do realize he has 863 wins at 75.2 win percentage? Not many D1 coaches go 38-2 multiple times by having poor adjustments.
  9. I'd rather have more than one, especially if I've had better players than everyone else for almost twenty years. This is not news. Everyone in basketball has talked about this for years: Cal's a recruiter, not a high-level tactician or actual game coach. He "sells" dreams, and in general delivers on it at an individual level insofar as he does get many guys to the NBA. Differently stated, he "sells" big time more than he wins big time. That's why he's a shyster.
  10. Cal has won one title even though he's had more NBA talent than any coach in history. He's not a good in game coach that knows how to get his players in the best position to win. If you love bragging about guys being drafted, he's your man. If you want to maximize talent and win titles while watching skilled players execute at a high level, you better go with someone like Hurley.
  11. You called him the biggest shyster in history he's a Hall of Famer and 3 time coach of the year at three different universities.
  12. I love playmaking point guards. I'm not sold on the "combo guard" craze. Can it work? Yes, it can work if you have shooting, athletic size and offensive rebounding to make up for the lack PG creation (2025 Florida being a good example). As for Cal, he's repeatedly stated he's more concerned with name on the back of the jersey than the front. Differently stated, he'd rather have big names go high in the draft than win titles. That's indisputable.
  13. You seem to hate on playmaking point guards. Calipari is elite. He built up UMass with multiple great teams over performing with guys like Marcus camby and Lou Roe. After that had a good coaching tree -- if you don't think John Calipari can coach you don't know ball.
  14. Watched st John's on ESPN the other night. My hope when they play is that Texas can control the boards. Thanks for the updates Gerry.
  15. Kentucky fans think they are right behind Florida with Texas, Bama, etc. When it's pointed out that they have a combo guard who can't shoot playing PG, and therefore they have the same problem as last season, they simply put their collective head in the sand. They'll go ballistic on Mark Pope quick when they realize their roster doesn't fit well enough to win against good teams. Arkansas actually has the same problem but worse. They don't have a true center. I think they have eight freshmen, no true PG, no shooting to speak of ... Cal is stuck in 2012. He's still more worried about draft picks than winning. He's the biggest shyster in the history of CBB. As I've said before, he needs to be on a used car lot swindling people out of their money.
  16. I’m not sure you read my whole comment initially. I said you have to bench him and that he may not be the QB for Texas.
  17. In a normal dynamic KJ Lacey should be given an opportunity. Unfortunately the celebrity nature of Arch will keep him entrenched in the position and will likely end up in KJ or Dia (or both) transferring. Arch is not an NFL caliber QB. It's crazy how pathetic he looks as a 4th year QB.
  18. I’m leaving this here since, put Quinn up as well… so maybe we still win a natty with Arch.?
  19. I used to have to help our old vet palpate our cows. I hope for Colin’s sake, the trainer uses a different technique for his ankle…
  20. We went from "National Championship or bust" to "Wait until softball season" in record time. 😀
  21. What we need is an OC who can tailor the playcalling to suit your team strength.
  22. I agree 100%!! I think KJ might see the field better and use his short to intermediate passing with accuracy to move the chains and keep our defense off of the field.. just my opinion 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
  23. Not immediately but probably if they drop the ole miss game
