  1. Past hour
  2. My bad. I've never seen him chewing out the OL after their lousy play, so I assumed he was in the booth. Thanks!
  3. Kyle Flood is on the sidelines and always has been. AJ Milweed is the coach in booth.
  4. Thank God. The way he banged those unprotected kne,es into turf I was workneecapbroke a kap or boa bone bruised it. I didn't see him roll his ankle over, so I was looking elsewherhave e. It must happened when they piled on, top of him and you couldn't see it. Hopefully it's not serious.
  5. He can hire a play caller after the season.
  6. 4 hours ago, Marcus Myers said: I have a TON of respect for Tillman Holloway. My redshirt freshman year as a linebacker at Texas was Tillman's senior year. On the field, he was an animal and made practice fun for a young defensive player still trying to figure out college ball. Off the field, he was a fun-loving guy who always had some silly antics in the locker room and, at the same time, some thought-provoking words he'd speak. The latter part of that statement still holds true to this day. His tweet below, while long, deserves its own thread, IMO. Unfortunately, if we don't change the OL or make the OL coach come to the sidelines out of the booth to start chewing some OL derriere, and change the person playing QB, it doesn't matter who's calling the plays.
  7. Sometimes letting him sit can clear his head.
  8. Arch having zero confidence in himself as a quarterback is the issue. Just like a three point shooter who needs to see the ball go through the hoop, Arch needs to build his confidence on the easy throws. It's either he has all the time in the world and he's late (and he knows he's late, which is why he'll go for the big shot) or he has his center and right guard in his lap before he can even make a decision. How do you help a struggling QB?
  9. I've landed on he is a great play designer and a bad play sequencer. His in-game adjustments leave a lot to be desired as well. I won't go as far to say 100% on him bc there's still basic stuff I see Arch miss routinely. Sark definitely shoulders more of it, IMO, bc he's the head man.
  10. There’s lots of blame to go around. Sark isn’t going to fire himself, but he can see if another QB can operate more effectively.
  11. Texas gets a Draw vs #6 South Carolina at home. This team is pretty good.
  12. I disagree with this and Tillman re: Arch. I don't need him to be the best ever, as good as his uncles or even to win national accolades. I need him to do the simple, easy things right. He was one of the worst college football quarterbacks in the country yesterday. That's based on his play, not any expectations.
  13. Even if we picked up 1st down no guarantee of points it was an extremely bad decision
  14. I think it's both. I lean more to Sark simply bc as the head man, the buck stops with him. That being said, I have a really hard time with what I see Arch do (or not do) on film. I tend to agree with you and how you view it.
  15. I don’t know man. I am just putting my thoughts out there. ou, Tenn and Fla are flat out sending 6 on 5 or 7 on 5 every play. You and I would have a difficult time taken on 3 dudes, correct? I am not ruling out Arch’s bad decisions against ou and then not prtectinv the ball in then end yesterday, I am just not ready to put the blame on him, “yet”
  16. I think Stein grew up in Kentucky and going to Kentucky games. Might be a tough pull at this point, especially how he has them rolling.
  17. Ojomo is also balling. The Eagles suddenly are full of Longhorns.
  18. Blue hasn't played. But Makuba is all over the field making plays.
  19. Georgia, Oh St, UW were all conference champions, playoff teams, national championship caliber teams. OU and Fla are not, they weren’t even ranked for God’s sake. Arch was missing reads and holding the ball too long. UTSA gave OU an inkling and Florida copied the OU game plan - send six and Arch will freeze. And if you think it’s everyone’s fault but Arch I have a bridge spanning the East River to sell you.
  20. But his alma mater is Louisville and he spent years at UT, Lake Travis and UTSA.
  21. I have a suspicion that Sark had that great NC game with Bama as OC and thought “This is it!” And has spent 6 years trying to recreate that game blaming everything from personnel to defense. He’s like a heroin addict trying to recreate that first high…
  22. I truly believe it is Sark’s play calling. I’ll give you one better, his scheme may even be the issue with Flood and the OL’s issues. It appears to me that he needs too much perfection for his scheme to work. Even superior athleticism isn’t cutting it with his scheme. Arch is already dodging defenders by the time receivers even look back. When the whole world knows blitzing will neutralize Sark, DCs have there recipe. Look at Quinn with same issues against Georgia/OSU/Washington. I am hesitant to put this mess on Arch at this point.
  23. ...in college? As we ruminate and ponder potential head coaches if Sark can't get it together, my favorite would be the Rams head coach. But why would he want to deal with NIL, parents, boosters? I just don't see it happening. The college game is no longer that much fun anymore unless you are only in it for the cash. Thoughts?
