  5. Winning a conference title is not an automatic qualifier for all champs. See Duke. Why would those other schools schedule Tech? All 3 of those would likely be underdogs. Let’s use Duke as a comp. Do you know why Miami got the nod over them for a CFP invite? It was not conference results. You know cause Duke won the ACC. Had Duke been undefeated in non-conference they were in the CFP. Their schedule was pretty weak but the incentive to dumb down their schedule is present. It is also ridiculous to expect Tech to be the only team to have 12 P4 teams on their schedule then win a championship game. We absolutely know that it’s impossible for a team to get up for every game of season. That’s why the SEC had a late season cupcake. The list of teams incentivized to dumb down their schedule exceeds those that benefited. Vandy may be one that can look back and say we should have upgraded but keep in mind their odds of winning would decrease had they upped the non-con. Maybe Miami but they also hardly left home. Texas, Notre Dame, Duke are teams that fell short that could have had different outcomes by scheduling weaker teams under their own control. You could reason that Tech, Ole Miss and one of James Madison or Tulane (another difficult non-con loss means they’re likely out) were reinforced to not make their schedules more difficult. A&M got limited benefit from beating Notre Dame. Indianas scheduling efforts reinforced theirs. Sark commented. You know Tech would respond. Tech was talking up scheduling Texas since news broke that Texas was going SEC so it’s not as though it’s a new thing. Everybody knows including Tech we weren’t going to adjust to accommodate here. In the end, neither team has an incentive to schedule more difficult games.
  6. Their football program deserves the SMU death penalty.
  7. Never thought I’d find a more obnoxious group than the Aggies, but Tech is taking it away from the Ags.
  8. Hope we can keep these guys for a long time, but realistically we need to hope Coach Schloss has his rolodex loaded and ready to go.
  9. Didn’t Pete Rose (The Hit King) get banned for life for betting on his Reds teams when he was their manager? Can’t be betting on your own team as a player or coach,
  10. Same school whose fans berated Texas for not firing Chris Beard immediately by the way
  11. Seems like there are also some really top OL that these guys can go against at camp.
  12. Thanks to Bobby for his reporting and analysis of the situation at Tortilla University. IF they had set about making Tech the power team of the Yormark Conference... and been successful (and maybe a little bit more ethical), THEN they might have been considered worthy of a spot in an expanded BIG or SEC Conference. But NOOooo (John Belushi reference), they had to act like classless Nouveau Riche. Now their chances of being considered for a spot in an expanded Power Conference are in shambles. What a shame... NOT!
  13. Had me with just the title! Gonna have 1000 views !!! Miller Beer Commercial from taste great /less filling days! AI creation anyone??? With Joe Z as lead.
  14. How big is lokey? His tape is solid..dad could lift a truck in weight room … I’m sure he inherited some of that.

  19. @Bobby Burton I’m starting to think that Kessler took Sorsby’s case as a favor to Cody, so that Cody could give him a call down the road for another case. I think Kessler knew this case is a dead end from the start.
  20. Got you - that makes a lot more sense. And yeah, I agree the public layer adds noise he probably wishes he didn’t have to deal with. The only thing I was pushing back on is the idea that the NFL would’ve treated it differently behind the scenes. The file was always going to land on a GM’s desk either way. But I get what you meant - the spotlight definitely doesn’t make his situation any easier
  21. 1) hard to watch someone like Kellan Hall and not be intrigued. Just a violent, athletic individual who is a total havoc creator in the middle. 2) with that said, Hall is in a build that could end up being 3-5 tech in this system. I look at Geraci Carson about the same given his frame too. 3) It’s all about arm length on the interior, I haven’t seen Wyms in person, but if the arm length is there, it won’t handicap him a ton.
  22. You’re completely correct. The way I wrote that didn’t really come across how I intended — I’m not always the best at articulating my thoughts. Haha. What I meant was, had Sorsby just accepted the NCAA ruling, the whole world probably wouldn’t have known just how serious the gambling situation was. NFL GMs would’ve 100% uncovered it during their own investigations anyway. But now, on top of that, you also have the pressure of public opinion. I know GMs are ultimately going to do what they want, but that outside scrutiny certainly doesn’t help Sorsby.
  23. @CJ Vogel 1) Which of these guys actually stands out to you on film, and what trait jumps off first? 2) Who do you think fits Muschamp’s scheme the best and why - interior disruptor or edge‑to‑tackle tweener? 3) Wyms is productive but undersized - do you think that caps his ceiling or does the motor override it?
