  1. Past hour
  2. They seemed to be determined to make Hutson work at center and seemed hellbent on not giving Robertson a shot at center even though he acquitted himself well there in the '23 RR game. I also believe they just looked Stroh and Brooks and thought "big humans" and that was it because I refuse to believe that they watched Stroh & Brooks play and honestly thought they were better options than Robertson. Hopefully they don't pull that with Seymore.
  3. As someone mentioned in another thread, this was a regular occurrence early in Mack's tenure, but it was free. That was 25+ years ago and I know times have changed, but if you're worried about losing a game because there's video of your first two days of drills, your team has bigger issues. This is what's great about the Spring Game or whatever it is now - you provide access to a lot of fans that will never have that type of access to players or maybe ever even step into DKR. Hell, I'm in my 50s and I still think it's cool to have photo ops with Bevo. So, yeah, I wish we would take a more fan-forward approach to our Spring Game and our first two days of warm-ups in shorts.
  4. Class, sad he’s not with the team this year but it’s a business decision and best for him. Wish him well!
  5. Today
  6. It’s a shame he couldn’t finish out his career here, But I’ll take cam coleman seven days a week over him and parker “stone hands” livingstone
  7. DeAndre has always been a classy teammate. Wish him the best on and off the field!
  8. With social media now, it's best to do what Sark does. Gives us a taste but not the whole meal.
  9. I know he’s not a Longhorn anymore, but DMO continues to carry himself in a great way while speaking highly of Texas QBs and figured I’d share
  10. The most mind blowing thing about Texas basketball for me is their 9-3 all time record vs UNC. For some reason, Texas has had their number against one of the best college basketball programs of all time. It’s similar to Texas’ all time record vs Alabama in football. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/texas/men/head-to-head.html
  11. Sounds like Bryson Warren is waiting to see if signing an exhibit 10 counts as an NBA contract?
  12. Wade said he wasn't worried during an interview in June. Wonder if he's worried yet?
  13. Some coaches like the fully open practices because it prevents those who cover the program from having to go to sourcing inside the program to get details of what is going on. The game of telephone can be a dangerous one and stuff can get lost in translation. Others hate it because they think it could give another school an advantage to know everything going on in practice. I see both sides of the argument.
  14. You mean the 25 year old professionals they're hoping to pass off as freshmen?
  15. I flew down to Austin from Chicago to watch Vince's first practice. I hadn't been in my new job very long and my boss gave me all kinds of crap about it. Worth it.
  16. Yesterday
  17. yet, Ryan Day is doing it this week. Attending those practices up at Intramural Fields are some of my best memories of Texas Football.
  18. I take the bowl game with a grain of salt they didn’t play for almost a month half bunch of rust to knock off
  19. Different time too many cameras and social media personalities. Entire practices could be posted on Twitter before the players finish showering
  20. Seems to be a good thread for this quote: “Life is short. Be sure and spend as much time as possible on the Internet arguing with strangers”-Anonymous
  21. We scored 41 points. The most Michigan gave up all season. Here is some PFF data. Arch was pressured on 19% of dropbacks, only 3 of 8 were attributed to pass protection. Goosby, Robertson, Shannon. So I guess we saw all of them in that video. After watching the film Guy, I kinda thought “is that all you got?” On the season there were 169 qualifying QBs included. Only 10 were pressured less than 25%. Only one, Carson Beck, at less than 20%. So that Michigan game was a pretty low pressure rate. It was our highest P4 pass blocking game of the season except maybe Arkansas. This is the Film Guy’s, 3rd review at least, about Arch. He sucks. Well maybe it’s his foot. It’s the Oline. This one for sure falls short in relation to what should be expected, what actually happens, what’s typical for any game. All games against good, relatively evenly matched competition will have these type plays. And the misfire on the throw, there is something to the pressure. I think that is massively lost in the OSU game. Some of these mechanical issues are because the QBs view is distorted so they become off platform or the timing is changed because the window isn’t clean. Even the end zone view doesn’t always tell that part of the story.
