I will come out and admit it.... My grad degree is from TTU. Up until the last couple of years, I was able to root for both schools except when they played each other. Then, it was always UT. It was fun. I had 2 dogs in the fight and there were more games that mattered to me on Saturdays. All that said, I have never been more embarrassed about being associated in any way with TTU. The way they have handled everything the last 2 years has been awkward, but the last 2 months has been abysmal. Knowing people at the university, I really didn't think we would see the day that they would be this petty and blatantly disgusting. I knew they had a major little brother syndrome and they would do some things that were over the top, but this is ridiculous. So long watching or caring about them moving forward, at least until major changes within the leadership of the athletics department takes place.

Gerry would love that!

Law Enforcement being alerted to his gambling activities as he was in the state of Texas before he went to rehab is note worthy I think. Seems he really went to rehab bc law enforcement caught onto he scent. Curious if anything comes of it.

Texas Tech: The Faces of Desperation
Nathan B replied to Bobby Burton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
"Sorsby said he was unaware of an October 2022 bet on the under for Indiana's quarterback passing yards, nor a September 2023 bet on the under for the first half of a Hoosiers football game." He was just doing this to motivate the guys! Also, a Sep 2023 would have been the season he played a lot. -
It was the right play. I doubt they’ll do it out of fear, but they need to beat HC with anyone but Flora. They aren’t beating us with whatever they threw today versus Volantis. We gave up double digits in exactly 3 games all season so if they give up 11 to us, they aren’t beating us. Beat HC. We beat Tarleton. They are in the same spot as if they won game 1 and lost game 2 except maybe they have Flora fresh.

Waiting for tomorrow when we discuss Sorsby and then 15 minutes later promote prop bets and parlays. We live in complicated times... It's also a bit naive to think adults shouldn't talk about politics when the reason we're all here - college athletics - is being consumed by politics. ...but I'll follow the rules.

I had cichlids for years in my younger years. That was decades ago, but Jack Dempseys are a hardier cichlid than most. I often think about setting up an aquarium now, watching fish is really cool.

I want an axolotl

People act like starting an aquarium is the financial equivalent of buying a boat. It’s not. A basic freshwater setup costs less than a weekend bar tab, and once it’s cycled, it basically runs itself. The only folks who ‘lose money’ are the ones who impulse‑buy a tiny tank, cram 14 fish in it, and then spend the next month wondering why they’re running a pet cemetery. I had a 40‑gallon built into the wall at my last place - start with something in that 20–40 gallon range, mix fish that actually belong together, do a quick 20‑minute weekly water change, and the whole thing basically runs on autopilot.

We here to talk about all Texas sports lol. If you dont like something because of a political view thats on you.

Yeah, there is no judge that is going to allow him eligibility. -

Well said....If you’re Tech, this is exactly how you’d want to play it. When you’re not a blue blood, you take every scrap of attention you can get and try to turn it into momentum. No shame in that. But that’s also why the ‘desperate for relevance line isn’t really an insult - it’s just reality. Every non‑blue‑blood is desperate for relevance. That’s the entire sport. Tech isn’t doing anything wrong; they’re just doing what programs in their tier have to do. The difference is Texas doesn’t need to manufacture buzz. Tech does. So yeah, they’re playing their cards well - but let’s not pretend it suddenly puts them on Texas’ level. It just means they’re maximizing the little window they have.
