I think they’ll be somewhat successful getting up to speed quickly. As the parent of a former D1 player, I can attest most players at elite academic schools will stay if only to get their degree. They’re also way better students than a P4 or G6 football player. Also, the professional payoff is still virtually non existent. This is more about making the school even more relevant in the Northeast, prime lacrosse recruiting territory. That said if Texas established men’s and women’s programs, they’d clean up.

Serious question is it a arch problem or a scheme problem

He doesn’t like to throw in the middle and he’s not particularly good at it. Even more striking though is how terrible the behind the LOS to the left passing game is. Less than 2.5 yards per attempt is criminal. I assume that’s a function of the well documented WR blocking problems but yeesh, changes need to be made there.

I’m too lazy to do this, but I would love to see charting for the first and second down plays. Much like last season, it feels like this team lives behind the chains. It’s tough to be successful when you start in a hole.

Honestly the things Arch is deficient in are probably not fixable. Poor pocket awareness, slow processing etc. This is who he is. We can win some games but Sadly we are not winning a Natty with Arch at QB.

Most thought we’d stomp them last year as well. That didn’t turn out so well for us.

We can't underestimate CDC in this drama. We haven't heard that much from him, but I will guarantee he will make a move - or several - if this trend continues. At the end of the day, Coach is an employee. If you aren't functioning at a high level, if you aren't doing your job and are relying on subpar fellow employees, the days are numbered. Here's hoping he will pull his head out and lead us to victory. HookEm.

Great read Jeff. I understand (I guess) Sark's desire to run a dynamic West Coast offense, with lots of moving parts; personally I don't think our squad can do this consistently. Very few can. Let's make it more basic. Our players have more talent, so let's out-hustle them. The players will perform better if the offense is not like a calculus final.

Sarkisian writes the best play scheme he can for Arch and his teammates. The team must execute those team assignments including Arch. Arch cannot go on walkabouts during the game. Execute the play or exit the play. Do not hang out to see how long it takes to get sacked. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿

Short answer is, he doesn't. Will be drafted lower than them. Golden was so good.

Golden is obviously an outstanding coach. It's roster construction that's a problem. Unless Golden can hit threes and defend athletic wings, there's another postseason meltdown coming that these media guys simply refuse to acknowledge. This isn't likely to be a big problem except for a few regular season games and the tournament.
