  1. Past hour
  2. While it will suck for sure, as I was a fan of his and he showed up for us in big games consistently the past two years….. but if it comes down to he wanted more money or he wasn’t happy hearing us “going after another RB1” then I get it. He deserves to get paid and he will flourish if he finds the right fit for his next stop. sounds like we couldn’t guarantee what he wanted to hear and he felt it was best to move on. More power to him for betting on himself and trying to get paid. Can’t be mad at that no matter who it is. thank you Tre for what you did for us and good luck out there. 🤘
  3. So true on your second thought. Many guys that are clean shaven for years don't grow a goatee or some kind of beard until later in life when they start losing hair. I did it another way. I have had a beard since I was 18 and now have no hair on top and my beard and remaining hair are gray.
  4. I'd guess that hope would be for Cooper to be higher than that... 🤘
  5. I absolutely hate to see Tre go but I completely understand both sides. Looking onward though, I’m a little concerned about the leadership for next year. Tre was a significant leader to this team as was Taaffe. Do you see us struggling from a leadership perspective without them and who do you think could be in line to step up and fill in those gaps?
  6. I hate losing Wisner but this is the nature of the business. Also, you let Wisner walk when he’s commanding a lot of money and you have Moby Dick on the hook. I got my wish. I wanted the most overpaid room in college football to be culled and it was. Now Wisner and Simon I hoped to keep at the right price. All In
  7. Thank you Tre Wisner and good luck on and off the field.
  8. My best guess starts with portal at 1 and 2.
  9. What do y'all think the depth chart looks like next year? Are we sleeping on Terry? Could Cooper get early playing time? My best guess is the following but we shall see how the portal turns out. 1. Portal 2. Simon 3. Portal 4. Clark 5. Terry 6. Cooper 7. Walker
  10. A significant gap in terms of NIL, playing time, or both>
  11. Demanding more money? or doesnt like the competition Sark is going after in the portal? From his perspective, Wisner probably wants to be the featured back if he wants to play one more year in CFB. His draft grade probably wasnt what he wanted and needs to build up his resume Another reason I am following CFB less and less.
  12. Bruh I know how this day & age is what's one more year gonna hurt making 4-500k & having lifetime connections graduating a longhorn.. It's a marathon he got bad advice & played himself
  13. With Wisner not coming back, let me look into my Crystal Baugh!
  14. Tre's not worth a M bro lets be real he got bad advice & would make way more in life if he stayed & finished his career a Longhorn, just off of the relationships & Legend he made himself killing ou & lil brother.. He want after the quick dollar & wasn't thinking long term
  15. I don’t think these kinds of things catch the coaching staff off guard. I am confident that if Texas wants to keep someone they will keep them. Having said that……they have a number they value a player at a certain dollar number and if the player/agent have a much higher number Texas lets them walk. It’s like professional sports now.
  16. Asked for big money and we said no, so taking his ball and going home. I'm skeptical somebody else will pay what he wants. He had as much value to us as any other team. Guy just doesn't have the ability to break tackles or run away from defenders. Great vision but not a #1 RB.
  17. We sure have a lot of starters to add. Gonna be a crazy few weeks after NYE. Also worth noting that Goosby hasn't declared his intent to stay.
  18. I believe it is an indicator that loyalty is a non-factor. And we’re just getting started so loyalty will mean even less over time. For my fandom, that is not a positive. One reason I care nothing about college basketball anymore is because of the roster turnover. Maybe there aren’t many that care anything about loyalty, I don’t know. Heres the thing, there will be days when those guys you mentioned would be more effective football players than their replacements.
  19. Is it a sign Baugh Is coming? Or he just got paid?
  20. There is nothing morally wrong with players making purely business decisions but that says that their relationship with UT is purely transactional. It's fair for us fans to be prefer those who go deeper than that. We'll see if guys like Wisner and Moore even have the NIL market they are looking for. Seems doubtful to me. Those guys aren't superstars.
  21. Unfortunately I think he will be remembered for portaling.
  22. I don't know about y'all but I just watched some Adam Mohammed tape and I'm a big fan. Add Hollywood Smothers and could be lethal combo.
  23. For me, he’s in the Fozzy Whittaker category of folk heroes in the history of the program. Nobody will remember Wisner as one of the best running backs Texas has ever produced, but they’ll remember the big moments he had in the biggest games on the schedule.
