The Longhorns will square off with Baylor on Nov. 15 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. Here's what Miller said about scheduling the Bears: “We have an immense amount of respect for Baylor as a basketball program and Scott Drew as a head coach,” Texas head coach Sean Miller said. “Coach Drew is one of the best to ever do it, and the success of Baylor’s program over the last 20 years speaks for itself. We wanted to play a high-quality opponent knowing that we’re going to challenge our team to the highest level, and Baylor does that. The fact that they are also from our state is icing on the cake.” “The second part of our trip to San Antonio is so much of how we think as a basketball program starts with the state of Texas in mind,” Miller continued. “This allows us to tap into our San Antonio fan base, and in particular our great relationship with the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs come to Moody Center and play, and now we can reciprocate and go to where they call their home court. It’s great for our players, our team and to a large extent, it’s great for the continued relationship and development of that between The University of Texas and the San Antonio Spurs. Combining all those elements, playing in an NBA arena is always something that means a lot to our team and to our players because it’s where they one day want to be.” “Lastly, we don’t have a crystal ball and it’s not easy to make the NCAA Tournament, but if we are able to make the NCAA Tournament this year, there are a lot of different sites that you could go to,” Miller said. “If you are fortunate enough to advance, taking nothing for granted as you have to make it and advance, along that route one of those possibilities is San Antonio and Frost Bank Center. That is not our reason for playing this game, but there is a chance that could happen, and the fact that we could already have played there one time is again, icing on the cake.”

OTF Premium PHOTOS: Update on New Football Indoor Facility

That original render doesn't go to the 50 which shaves 20 yards off. I think they decided they'd rather have a 50 with no end zone on one side. -
Texas LHP Haiden Leffew has signed with the Rays. Leffew wasn’t drafted in the 2026 MLB Draft, but signed an UDFA deal late last week. This came as no surprise to the Horns coaching staff. Leffew provided Texas with a valuable high-leverage arm out of the bullpen during the 2026 season. In 17 relief appearances, he went 4-1 with a 4.05 ERA while striking out 31 batters over 20.0 innings and holding opponents to a .176 batting average. He had a season-high five strikeouts in three scoreless innings against Tennessee.

I don’t get it either. A non-con of at Louisville (will be a top 3 seed team), Miami (will be a top 20 type team), Baylor (talented guards and likely top 35 team), likely UCLA (will be a top 25 level team), Georgetown and Memphis home prepares Texas. The home non-con took a hit due to having two “neutral site” games, but I like that Texas is playing in SA and Houston against quality opponents. People want a teams to play a murders row non-con, plus SEC/ACC plus SEC … I want Sean Miller to build his depth and team, and grown and prepare his team for the SEC grind without having to play starters too many minutes in non-conference. 14 game non-conference 18 game SEC SEC Tourney NCAA Tournament hopefully a 38-40 game season. Texas will be battle tested and ready throughout the season -

I dont get the hate are some of these games set up way in advance ? This non con schedule is a bit better than the last few years so it's an improvement but guess since we have a roster that is much improved people are barely noticing. -

Games will be on SEC Network at SEC+ for conference. Noncon games are probably gonna be on ESPN+ for the most part. -
