  2. 1. Texas The two-time defending champs return most of their core from their 2026 roster, including Teagan Kavan and SEC Player of the Year Katie Stewart. While the Longhorns lost Reese Atwood and Leighann Goode to the professional ranks, the transfer additions of Isa Torres, the reigning ACC Player of the Year, and Samantha Swan should fill those voids. Texas needs an arm or two to rise up behind Kavan, but they have plenty of options, including freshman Madi Doty. 2. Alabama 3. Texas Tech 4. Florida 5. Oklahoma 6. Tennessee 7. Georgia 8. 3. I know they are pretty much the only "people" that are "grading" things for CFB, but they are simply incorrect. For example, this year after one of A&M's only wins PFF said Marcel Reed had zero "turnover worthy" plays. I watched that game and Marcel Reed through a ball directly into both hands of a DB who just happened to completely drop it. Pretty sure that is a turnover worthy play. PFF is a complete joke and idk if they use AI or just straight up make things up based off of names and results.
  4. RIP Mike "Viper" Metcalf
  5. Today
  6. Texas is probably the favorite on paper. Which is great news because I've watched enough Texas sports lately to know the championship game will not, in fact, be played on paper. Texas, OU, and Tech all look loaded. OU is still OU. Tech bought enough players to qualify as a small nation. Texas brought back stars and loaded up through the portal. The only thing I've learned from the football and volleyball seasons is that whenever I hear "this roster is stacked," I immediately start looking for the nearest emergency exit. For now I'm choosing optimism. By February I'll be booking my WCWS hotel. By April I'll be questioning every coaching decision. By May I'll be convinced we're winning it all again. The annual Texas fan migration pattern remains undefeated. 😂
  7. Guys with pro experience. Thought that crap got shut down.
  8. Sadly , let him have one bad season and our fair weather fan base would be howling to fire him.
  9. I think this year's softball team is better than last years.
  10. I think that's the right way to think about it. It's not how I think about it, but it is the right way to think about it. What I will say is that Beard wasn't an option. For Terry to keep the team together and focused on their team goals was a significant accomplishment. I'm grateful for the Elite Eight run. I'm also grateful we now have Miller. I hope for great things for the basketball program under his watch. Also thank you for the nice words.
  11. olden miss 35, Texas 28
  12. Zero. I have no faith remaining in this team.
  13. I have a ton of respect for you as a poster as you & Gerry are basically the Godfathers of Texas sports forums especially when it comes to talking Texas hoops. For awhile I wasn't if this was the original SLX from back in the day but reading some of your recent posts has confirmed. Super glad to have you in this community. I respect your take on Terry and still feel he's not given enough credit by the fanbase for that great Elite 8 run especially considering we don't have a ton in our history and it had been 15 years since we had. Everyone keeps parroting the idea that the team Beard & co put together would've gone as far as they did with anyone coaching. That was a good team but there wasn't undeniable talent on that team and even then this fanbase saw Rick Barnes take an even more talented team to a 17-0 record and number #1 ranking and then immediately freefall to damn near a bubble team (and 1st rd exit) with the same coaching staff and no major injuries. I'm not sure that team makes it further with Beard for a couple of reasons. 1) I don't know that he would've been able to overcome all of the injuries that crept up at the end of that run to Disu, Carr & I think even Rice. 2) I'm not sure we ever get that version of Dylan Disu under Beard as he didn't start to look anything like the Vanderbilt version of himself until well after Terry took over. I also remember Disu making a comment about how much the change at the top was able to effect his game. Super excited about this season as I love the roster even though I might worry a little bit about PG depth. Mikey Lewis' injury has helped me temper expectations to some degree as well as knowing that teams with this many new faces don't usually make real runs like this in year 1. Either way, I'm looking forward to the growth and feel it'll be much better than football has been so far. Anyways, great to see you SLX posting here and I look forward to reading your posts. 🤘🏾
  14. 31-16, Ole Miss. I've lost complete faith in this team.
  15. ole miss will win. Chambliss is too damn good and they will score 30. Our O could not score 30 against anymore.
  16. I like this answer. ditto for me
  17. Texas 27 Ole Miss 24 Hook’em Horns🤘🏼🤘🏼
  18. It’s obviously Arch and he’ll be at UVA
  19. Ole Miss 38-17, and 17 could easily be 10
  20. This issue has been discussed, rinsed and repeated for two weeks now. A lot of good well thought out theories I have heard on OTF Youtube videos. The national media also following closely. I am on Arch's side at this point and don't believe it is him. The main points that I think are valid: 1: Arch has been in the system 3 1/2 years, what gives? How much time does somebody need. He isn't making good reads and holding on to the ball too long 2: The OL cannot block worth a flip-how many years has this been an issue 3: No running game-how many years has this been an issue? 4: Sark/Flood don't know how to adjust to the constant blitzing. Same crap when QE was here. Every DC looks like an All World DC with the genius of sending 6 or 7 defenders. 4a: If it is due to Sark, I would think a frustrated Flood would have a strong conversation directly with Sark by now 4b: If it is due to Flood, why is Sark holding on to the incompetence 5: Sark's offenses haven't had a good track record at Texas in spite of having to nationally rated #1 QBs and Texas resources. I don't believe Texas has cracked the top 10 in Total offense since he has been here. Can Sark really develop QBs or is it a myth? What the hell credentials does Milwee have. Nothing against Milwee-it is on Sark hiring decision. 6. Texas never has enough of a lead to allow the backup QB to get meaningful game reps. 7. Y'all can help me with the rest
