If you think about it, Sark’s job isn’t just to win, but to get guys to the NFL. The NFL, while having more mobile QBs, is a pocket passers game. If Arch can’t learn to sit in the pocket and make the throws he needs to make without scrambling, he won’t have a long NFL career.

Sark said in the presser after scoring 17 points on the first 3 drives he thought the offense got lethargic like they thought it was gonna be easy, but blames is placed on everyone we aren’t always gonna play perfect no team does. My point was play calling wasn’t what was wrong Saturday

what we need to do is to adopt Akron's strategy of letting fans call offensive plays. I'm sure we as a fanatic community will do better than the person widely recognized as one of the best play callers in footall.

Sark is the head coach. He said himself that he has more time to coach the offense. That is all positions (coaches and players). No excuses. If no blame is put on Sark then who is to blame? The players? The position coaches? Is it time to question Milwee at the QB coach?

His offenses have been very inconsistent overall. The offense has a tendency to disappear over long periods throughout the games (like the OSU game). A lot of people say he can’t catch or throw the ball himself, but he is the head coach and it’s his responsibility to get the players to play well. They don’t pay him millions of dollars to point fingers or blame the players. He’s been given the resources, no excuses.

We need to use Arch more like Colt than Vince. Vince was not only faster, he could be punishing. Arch runs more like Colt but doesn’t quite have his passing touch, yet.

I’m a big arch fan, though you have to wonder if we didn’t get arch in 2023 and sayin became our next big name qb, how would this offense look?

We have a QB that cant see the field and is extremely inaccurate. If your QB is throwing high on every pass, you're going to have problems. His inaccuracy is also going to somewhat dictate that play calls,Sark probably cant call certain plays knowing when Arch airmails the ball its going to be an easy interception for the safety.

I really think the return of Nick Townsend could help Arch's game out a lot when he's back.

Small sample size against UTSA but he had his best performance. My thinking is Winston and Shannon have exceeded expectations, particularly Winston's pass-catching ability. But Texas needs Masunas to be more consistent and to be able to contribute more in the SEC slate, especially with Townsend out.

I think Arch is having some flashbacks to last season when he had very little time to work through progressions. He is not working through progressions well right now and still showing poor accuracy too often. I think Arch is a good QB and can do some things with his legs many can't but he is far too inconsistent for me to consider him a top 10 QB nationally right now.

Since start of 2023 season after he had time to establish his team, he has won 83% of games. 38-8. We had good Defenses I realize but we are doing something right. I too am worried going forward with the way we are executing the passing game. Got to get better fast or we will lose several games with this schedule.

Sark is not our issue right now. He’s had a few questionable play calls but our issue is execution.

A wild talking point 8 days after defeating OSU to become the #1 team in the country. What a luxury. Pains me to say it, but Arch is their biggest problem right now. Jekyll & Hyde thing going on. At times, he looks as good as any quarterback in the country. But far too often, he literally looks like he just woke up and found himself in his own body a full second after the ball is snapped and he's behind the play trying to figure out where he's at in his progressions. It's so frustrating. I am perplexed. I'd love to hear how his uncles diagnose his struggles. Sark's not perfect, but he didn't get his reputation by accident. He's completely turned the program around. It's one thing to question some play calls - I've yelled at the TV - but it's another thing to question him as a play caller entirely.
