  3. I don't disagree that Foreman may have had better numbers than Priest, but it is not accurate to say that Priest's team had virtually nothing but him. Shon Mitchell was actually the much more heralded recruit on the team and probably got more starts/snaps (much to my wife's chagrin). And let's not forget a RB by the name of Ricky Williams who was there for Priest's senior year. That was one of the most stacked RB rooms in UT history.
  4. I think that game is a tell for Ole miss fans about there coach and future
  5. And btw, me hating midwesterners is a false narrative perpetuated by that rogue Joe Z. I like and respect them… until they schedule Ball State, Western Idaho and Eastern Michigan.
  6. Today
  7. Welcome to OTF! As always, please feel free to discuss the Longhorns, CFB, etc., and if you have any questions just let’’em fly. Glad you’re here!
  8. Agree fully. We are all accountable for what we produce especially when fully resourced and enabled to do our job.
  9. Welcome to the best Texas site. These are the best mods in the business, and they also do a good job of creating good board culture among Longhorn friends.
  10. I want to say yes, but if he can't then Sark has already set the precedent with PK. Flood shouldn't be given special treatment.
  11. With Nick Brooks, I think if you hadn't thrown him into the fire that early you could've coached him up through this off-season to play G for you. Might've played a role in his leaving after the season, who knows? From what I've been able to tell he's still only a depth piece at Bama, I think he's on the two deep at RT? I agree about Stroh, his feet were really slow. But that also goes back to Flood and his development, did you not notice this before you put him out there? Feels like you set the young man up for failure there. Did they not try Robertson at C and Hutson at LG in fall camp? So many questions, I guess we'll get some answers sooner rather than later.
  12. I commend my fellow board mates for the spirited discussion and back and forth. My take home question is: can this mixture of highly recruited, large humans we have invested serious time recruiting, developing and money be brought together into a cohesive, effective unit by our coaching staff? All excuses aside, the buck starts and stops with our offensive line coach. He has a lot of skins on the wall, some good and some bad. I think we will learn a lot about his capabilities this season because there are no excuses not to succeed now with the level of depth and available pieces he has on the board.
  13. They will need to go 11-1 regular season, because they will have ACC title game. If they are 10-2, then have to win ACC title game to have realistic shot to get in ... IMO, they need to beat Ole Miss to begin season.
  14. For sure. Goodman and I talked this weekend. They will be borderline top 5 team for them.
  15. I think the NC winner is wide open for sure I do think three No. 1 seeds could be a done deal, assuming teams stay healthy. Florida, Duke and Illinois Teams fighting for the last No. 1 and the four No. 2 seeds... UConn Texas Tennessee Arizona Arkansas Michigan State Louisville St. John's USC
  16. Yo. Texas is going to win the royal battle. Choosin Texas Lfg It doesn't take a crystal ball to see A cowboy always finds a way to leave Drinkin' Jack all by myself He's choosin' Texas, I can tell
  17. Great to have you as part of the OTF community!
  18. The best part of the site is we focus on sports. We don't give two cents for pop culture, politics, or movie reviews! We stick to Texas sports or something that would affect us directly like Congress's latest meddling. There is a lot of great content and I love the guest speakers. You made the right choice.
  19. It’s a hypothetical. Why are you assuming that they are going to start Hutson? And even if they do, he was actually pretty average last year. We can win it all if the rest of the line is above average to elite and our LG is average. Indiana had a few average pieces on its OL, including everybody’s favorite Westlake RG.
  20. Welcome! As a board primer, here’s a useful hate scale, normalized from 1-10: 1: OTF fans’ hatred of OTF (doesn’t exist) 2: Gerry’s hatred of vegetables 3: Rod B’s hatred of small butts 4: Bobby’s hatred of the Midwest 5: Texas fans’ hatred of Ketch 6: Joe Z’s hatred of Gerry (his absent father) 7: Texas fans’ hatred of A&M 8: CJ’s hatred of Jordan for taking his “Young Phenom” title 9: Bobby’s hatred of Hashtag 10: Texas fans’ hatred of OU 100: Joe Z’s hatred of Kyle Flood
