Thanks man, I shot @Jeff Howe a message. We are both old and I refuse to pay out the wazoo for a house in Austin. Just need a small yard, with a few small trees (I have about 20 mature oaks and hackberry and they are hades when they drop their leaves), and a pool for the grand kids.

Some of us are too old to do a mini Murph, others have never heard of what it is, and some of us are both.

I remember when Pepperdine came here for a regional. Texas could not hit an 80 mph curve ball for shizzle. Everyone in the stands was shouting "Wait!, wait!, wait!" to no avail. Arizona beat PU to go to the CWS and won it all that year. I remember seeing Swindell under the 3rd base beachers when Texas lost its 2nd game to Pepperdine. He really wanted to pitch that day but needed at least one more day of rest.

I'm getting over covid so I have limited lung capacity but did a mini murph this morning that kicked my butt.

This is the underapprecistion of west coast baseball. One or two top flight starters can be very impactful in this regional format. They are less of a threat in a Super Regional format because it’s only 1 game. I saw this directly in a high school run to a state championship. One dominant starter can’t get it done in a best 2 of 3.
