We reported in August that Texas safety commit Junior Tu'upo was expected to take visits this fall to Alabama and Auburn despite his commitment to the Longhorns. We've learned that will start this weekend with the talented DB prospect set to unofficially visit Alabama for the Crimson Tide's season opener vs. East Carolina. A source with knowledge of Tu'upo's recruitment reaffirmed that the four-star DB is very firm with the Longhorns despite the visits, even noting it's not like he's hopping on a plane to go see an out-of-state school. Tu'upo is expected back in Austin next weekend for the Ohio State game.

The answer is a big NO. Remember last year when Texas State played that blistering schedule in the SEC and the Big 10 at the same time?!?! They were just the best team last year. I know it was unfair that they got left out of the playoffs, but that beat down they gave to a 5-7 Rice team in their bowl game just proves that our passing defense just has no chance. Obviously, their personnel is just better than ours.
