I like him a lot and have watched his analysis the past to seasons. But while his cohosts are clear homers he just disguises it better as he’s tried to expand his audience and it’s pretty easy to see it happening if you watch enough of his shows especially regarding recruiting or post / pre big Georgia games. Don’t blame him for expanding his audience he’s killing it. But you have to take the Georgia stuff with a grain of salt. Also I’ve grown to hate Georgia the past two seasons.

Don't read too much into any of this IMO. As we've written, this is a multi-million dollar decision for a family. The young man is truly one of the top handful of players in the country.

I have a notebook full of 1970's pro football players that I have had since I was 15. I am now 68. I have no idea of the value of them. I know I have a Sonny Jurgensen card among them. Who knows. I prefer my vinyl record collection. I have all the great albums that everyone loves.

I saw that & hope they fix the distribution problem. I’ve had a “Timeless” subscription since day 1 & it is absolutely awful. I never get any hits but worse is there are always duplicates & triplets in every box of 5 packs. Plus the inserts always are dupes. Last month I got 3 inserts of the same Parker Livingstone card plus another was Trey Wisner 🤦🏽 I do like how you can now pick your sport. Just got my first softball box & that was a fun open.

I don't think he has a Georgia agenda per-se and he claims to have not been a fan of them growing up, but he obviously has covered them closely as is far more knowledgeable about them than any other program. His co-host guys are straight up Georgia homers without hiding it whatsoever, however lol.

Although he was not the best DB at a Texas in the 40s, to me he foreshadows DBU. Blake Gideon, Bill Bradley and Jerry Gray are the only Great Texas DB of whom I can remember who followed him into coaching at college or NFL levels. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿

Tom Landry was a football genius. He incorporated the shotgun formation into every down usage (the shotgun was probably created by a CFL coach named Frank Ivy but modernized and first used by 49’ers coach Red Hickey in the early 1960s). His defensive innovation, the 4-3 defense is still used by pretty much every team in America. More importantly, his usage of 4 DL and 7 DBs led to what is often referred to as simulated pressure today. The attached video illustrates that concept.

With Spears Jr. ... he is making a fair # in year one from what I hear. This wasn't a bargain recruitment for Texas. That was Austin Goosby who took half of what BYU was offering to be at Texas. But the KD/Nike deal has helped with basketball HS recruiting from an NIL standpoint
