  1. Past hour
  2. That’s a fair comparison but it doesn’t change what is showing up on tape at the current moment. He’s indecisive, struggling to process, inconsistent with accuracy, and is panicking in the pocket. Sark has to figure out how to get him more comfortable.
  3. I love Arch but he has disappointed this year. I won't give up on him because good Arch is pretty good. Plus realistically Sark won't bench him.
  4. Arch needs to go pro and hope he can back up a vet for a few years. There is no point in being in college another year.
  5. I would be a GA guy too the way their trenches play. Brooks likes physical teams, and frankly, our Offensive Line isn’t that physical, otherwise we wouldn’t struggle so much in short yardage.
  6. Mac Jones was a first round pick because of Sark. Those WRs thrived because of Sark. Sark broke school records at Alabama. Sark was the next man up for when Saban retired. Don’t let your current emotions cloud the truth. We can admit the offense is struggling badly but that doesn’t make him an outright bad coach. 5 Star QBs don’t always hit. Go look at the last 10 Elite 11 classes and see how many are NFL QBs and how many are busts. Ex: Jackson Arnold was a 5 who won the Elite 11 MVP and is at UNLV now. His 3rd School. Michigan QB was #1 overall player, he’s terrible rn. Dante Moore is struggling at Oregon (before injury). Some of you are unreal.
  7. He isn’t going to tell people publicly in the middle of the damn season what Arch is or isn’t doing at the line of scrimmage. Opponents listen to these press conferences. He isn’t going to throw his QB under the bus. It ain’t that serious.
  8. A lot sounds instinctual, which is not a good sign. Need to adjust the play calling or the roller coaster will continue. We really just need a bus-driving QB who can make the easy throws and has some athleticism.
  9. One of the best QB's at Texas that everyone praises (Colt McCoy) came from small school football. I believe Jim Ned was 2A at the time? Correct me if I'm wrong on that but there's tons of small school kids that do really well at the college level. To your point, one does not need to be at the top level of a state (6A in Texas) to be a great QB.
  10. Fun fact: My dad played against Troy Aikman in high school. Troy was a Henreyetta Hen and my dad was a Beggs demon!
  11. You say Arch is the issue. Arch is a reflection of his coaching and what he's being taught to do. Ewers had similar issues. It can't always be the players when things have remained the same. Sark and Milwee are at fault. Arch has to take part of the blame for his own actions but he isn't the main problem. Brooks is great at what he does but I saw the same routes and most of the time there isn't anyone to dump it to and if there is he misses it at times trying to make a play down field (something Sark wants btw).
  12. Brooks summed up the Arch roller coaster well in the video. One second he’s throwing NFL level balls. The next…he’s stepping up out of a clean pocket into pressure. Year 4 in the system. Year 2 starting. Excuses are running thin. Speaking of running, yeah the run game ain’t helping him out either. But it’s just all too inconsistent. And I hope this roller coaster smoothes out even just a bit, is making me nauseous.
  13. Damn… just realized Parker beat us 🙃🙃🙃
  14. Penalties are a metric for teams that lack discipline (and / or have a low football IQ). Or both.
  15. Mac Jones was a first round pick, as were his RB (N.Harris), three of his OL, and four of his starting WRs (Ruggs, Jeudy, D.Smith, and J.Waddle). And Sark had some guy named Saban in charge of the team’s culture, execution, accountability, staff, made all the game management decisions, and defined the guidelines in which Sark was allowed to run the offense and call the plays. Sark has had at least TWO 5-star QBs on his roster for the last five seasons…yet for some reason the QB position continues to underachieve. What’s the common denominator?

  17. Today
  18. You have no idea. None of us do but it’s neither sark nor arch. It’s both but it’s a leader’s job to effectively, and efficiently, recognize the coachees floor/ceiling. Arch was raised to not make waves and sark likes to joystick too much. It’s not a great combo.
  19. I HOPE he does the right thing after this season. I think a lot depends on how the rest of the season plays out. If he fails to make the playoffs, I don't see how CDC can let him do nothing and expect things to get better. That would mean CDC is pulling a Deloss Dodds and not telling the king he's naked. I don't see CDC as that type of AD. It's obvious Sark has a reality problem, and he needs positive intervention from a superior outside his direct circle. I'm hoping CDC is that type of AD.
  20. Bull. He defends the non call against bama because he is a ga honk. Started scouted Texas because we bring clicks.
  21. Watching the film guy tonight, you may be right. Not only did Brooks criticize Arch, but he did the same with Connor Robertson
  22. More QB's ... a lot of the best didn't play high level HS comp or at big schools Tom Brady - 850 enrollment at HS Jared Goff - 750 enrollment at HS Kirk Cousins - 600’ish enrollment at HS Philip Rivers - 1,000’ish enrollment at HS Matt Ryan - 1000’ish enrollment at HS Joe Flaco - 800’ish enrollment at HS Donovan McNabb - 800’ish enrollment at HS Brett Farve - under 600 enrollment at HS Mark Brunell - 400’ish enrollment at HS Troy Aikman - small school Kurt Warner - small school Jeff Hostetler - small school Case Keenum - 3A HS in Texas
  23. I bet those dudes regretted those cigars on the plane ride home. We don't have anyone on our team like Orakpo who kept everyone in line. Simmons laughing after the OU game just further demonstrates his immaturity.
  24. Elko went after the High Priest of the aggie cult and learned that is not a smart move after losing three straight
  25. If you watch Brook's analysis, he breaks down the routes. He shows the check downs that Arch is not using. Sark is not the problem. He is stubborn and a bit of an ass, but what football coach isn't? Arch is the issue. The dude has been in the program for 4 years, and this is his 2nd starting. He is way behind where his development should be... He is not understanding the concepts. That's on Arch.
  26. I don’t think Arch can be fixed. He’s four years in and has been developed by some of the best quarterbacks to play this game his whole life. He can’t see the field, he has an anxiety attack when he is blitzed, he doesn’t know where the line of scrimmage is, and holds the ball instead of throwing it away. That is all after being raised with NFL talent around him and four years of college football coaching. What else can be done? What are they going to say this week that hasn’t been said before? What film will they watch that they didn’t watch before? Is it going to suddenly kick in? They will look better because the defenses they face over the next few games are not that good, but he has not looked right all year. That is after a second half of last year where it looked like he had figured it out. He’s not a national championship quarterback and that is the goal this year.
