Thoughts on the Texas offense tonight

What i wonder about and have mentioned before………it seems like this Texas team doesn’t show up fired up and ready to play. I called it sleepwalking last night. You sleepwalk in the SEC for long and you are beat. Usually you have a few coaches that are firey guys that get them going or the strength coach/staff. Texas too often seems flat to me. The one time we saw them come out fired up with after a dismal performance against Florida and came out with an attitude against Oklahoma and we saw how that went. I don’t know if it is players are getting paid now and it’s more like the NFL or what, but we don’t seem to come ready to play enough. -

What if I told you that Texas 8-4 might be from Austin this year? -
I'm trying to be in this boat too but I don’t know if I've ever experienced a season where so many wins felt like losses due to abysmal performances but I guess I have to look at Clemson, Penn St & Florida St and be thankful.

What if I told you we’re going to favored by more than a TD? -
A win is a win” is exactly why Texas fans settle for mediocrity. Year 5 under Sark, top5 roster, nearly 11 million dollar coach, unlimited NIL resources and the offense still looks undisciplined, unprepared, and uninspired. A win in the column doesn’t mask systemic failure. The stats, the lack of development, it all points to one conclusion….this isn’t a program being coached to greatness, it’s a program being managed. Sark isn’t elevating Texas he’s capping it. That’s the evidence, plain and simple.

Fair point here but no excuses either way. Seems like they always muck the game up

It must be an old guy thing, MB, but I get tickled as hell when I read the melt downs. It's like armageddon mixed with a disaster movie.

Well, we have ta take the good with the bad. These are good kids, and I believe in them. Not sunshine pumping. -
This is objectively not true, dude. We just want a competent offense after 5 years under a so called “offensive genius.” It’s not that deep.

Georgia is going to embarrass sark and arch in athens this year. -
The beginning of the end of Sark

Y'all remember a few years back when Sean McVay was contemplating retiring or stepping down? Wonder if he’s still feeling that way and Sark hires him as OC. Just let me dream, please 😂 -

The best QB on the field last night goes by the name Cutter. Kind of sums up the season and Arch's progression so far. Watched a lot of qb play yesterday. All of these guys are getting better Sayin, Simpson , Stockton, Diego, and on and on. I don't know what's fair on how to judge Arch considering how bad we are in so many offensive areas. But it is obvious he has a long way to go. Can he get there next year with other changes that are needed to help the qb position.Maybe he really is just average at best. Better figure that out first before putting all those eggs in 1 basket for the future. -
It’s just not true, and I’m honestly baffled that anyone could believe it. A team and a player’s performance in a game is the best indicator of the talent level and likely future performance. The idea that you would ignore poor performances because the team won is silly. The idea that you’d ignore good performances because the team lost is silly.

That is not why he’s gone. He went way over the line criticizing players and being happy our starting C was out hurt. -
Love seeing J-Whitt doing all the little things that help versatile offenses move the ball. Stafford, at his age, is still a beast!

What he’s saying is not wrong, hashtag was just overly blunt and over aggressive lmao Hutson has been here for years and has never really been good. Nobody will say he’s an NFL lineman. Same can be said for stroh. DJ Campbell is also underwhelming for a former 5 star recruit .
