  1. Past hour
  2. 1983. OU RB Marcus Dupree came into the game wanting to repeat his dominate 1982 performance. The Texas defense was ready. The play of the game was when Dupree took the handoff and was met by Richard Peavy. The hit was heard around the stadium. Dupree slowly got up and wandered towards the Texas defensive huddle. He was taken off the field and as far as I remember he never carried the ball for OU again. Meanwhile, Texas Freshman RB Edwin Simmons got the job done for Texas having a 100 yds rushing along with 2 TDs. Final: Texas 28 - OU 16

  3. Mack was a former Sooner doing an inside job at the time.
  4. This is my 20th in a row and 26/27. It’s the most special day of the year.
  5. Amazing recap. Thanks for that. When you said OU’s quarterback was handcuffed I actually didn’t read it as a metaphor the first time.
  6. Yeah Peter lived rent-free in ou's head.
  7. What a game that was.
  8. Amen. What a great lesson to all on how diligent hard work and faith in the process pays off.
  9. Agreed. I am willing to bet that coaches and family interacted with Arch to get him in the right place - to be Arch, ie the Michigan game.
  10. I actually would like to see Cam in more of a H back scenario, he's a tall target and would be great in intermediate routes.
  11. Longview … Coach King is just great. Funny dude. And tough practice and kids
  12. Today
  13. Absolutely love the offer … he will end up top 10 in the 2027 class rankings … should be top 5-6 at end of day IMO
  14. I am Looking forward to the Arch hand wave goodbye again this Saturday
  15. I think their D is a bit overrated. Georgia got up big and basically coasted to victory in that game.
  16. Berlin, Germany - Central European Summer Time (CEST) It is 10:30am and OU sucks!!!
  17. Awesome deep dive on the numbers. Red River almost always comes down to defense settling the chaos, not just chasing stats. Holding them under 20 is the ultimate formula—24-9 feels like a very realistic prediction!
  18. EST - Fort Mill, SC It js 4:09am and OU sucks!!!
  19. Need to not kill ourselves with penalties. Execute better on O, don't need to score on every drive but let's put some drives together at least. Stop putting yourself behind the chains. I can't wait to see this DL smother OU's run game and QB. Special teams cannot continue to be a burden. Spetic seems to be the lone exception there.
  20. i still can't believe there's a dude in the NFL named Kool-Aid...Hell I can't believe there's someone named that at all lol.
  21. OU took advantage of a down Texas to beat up on us.
  22. if by "weather the storm" translates for Sark to be patient, I agree 100%. Nothing wrong with punting and playing the field position game. Don't put the offense in a position for turnovers, especially early on. Texas has all of the advantages if they just don't beat themselves with penalties and turnovers
  23. It isn’t him. Go back to the first two games. Cam is wide open and Arch never looks his way. Not sure which game that was but the tape is there. Cams drop against Ohio State is about the only thing I can even put on him. Arch has to get him the ball. Cam’s ability doesn’t disappear because he goes to a better team. Is he any slower? Did his hands suddenly lose the ability to catch passes few can? If anything Cam should be upset.
  24. Since 2005, the teams have played 22 times (including the 2018 Big 12 title game). Oklahoma leads 12-10, even though Texas has outscored OU 694-655. Close games are why: One-score games: OU 9, Texas 3. Double-digit games: Texas 7, OU 3. But the answer isn't simply to go All Gas. From 2014 to 2023 Texas lost 8 of 11 and averaged 33.4 points in those eight losses. Seven were by one score. Texas is only 5-3 when scoring 35+, and 4-3 at 40+. The race to 23: OU is 12-2 when scoring 23 or more. Texas has won only once when scoring fewer than 23. But getting there doesn't save Texas: 9-8 when scoring 23+. It's the defense: OU has not beaten Texas with fewer than 28 and is 0-8 when held to 20 or under. OU hasn't landed between 21 and 27 once. Texas's last three wins: 49-0, 34-3, 23-6. It sure is hard to get to 23 pts without TDs, so let Boom cook!!! My golden hat score: Texas 24 OU 9
