  1. Past hour
  2. I'm guessing they didn't get the signs this series.
  3. The roster looks a lot deeper than it did a year ago. The biggest battle may not be finding starters, but figuring out where to put all the talent. The infield is crowded, while the corner outfield spots seem like the clearest path for some of the younger players to earn at-bats. I'm still curious about Abdullah. She's obviously an elite prospect, but when I watched her with Team USA, she looked like she had some trouble picking up the ball at times and wasn't always comfortable against top-level pitching. If she's good enough to force her way into the everyday lineup immediately, then someone established may have to change positions. If not, it gives White a little more flexibility while she adjusts to the college game. Either way, there are only so many spots available. That's a good problem to have, but with this much talent on the roster, I'd be surprised if there aren't a couple of transfers after the season.
  4. I thought the new rule was that you have 5 years to play 5 years with the elimination of the extra year waiver (6th year) for injury.
  5. Appreciate the post ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿฟ
  6. So we golfing or what? โ›ณ๏ธ๐ŸŒ๏ธ
  7. I went to a donor practice today - a few observations: 1) David Punch appears to have much more range than I thought he had - he had a great looking shot and was hitting 3โ€™s/long jumpers. I complemented him on his shot afterward and he was very appreciative, saying how hard he has been working on it. 2) It definitely sucks losing Lewis for a while, but Goosby getting more minutes/experience may be a blessing come March. He is awesome. 3) The length/athleticism is still mind boggling after having to sit through a season a couple years ago where Shedrick was the only big body on the court. It seems like we have so much versatility in the way we will be able to play, particularly when Lewis comes back. 4) it is really awesome watching Sean Miller teach. He lives and breathes basketball, and we got to watch him teach in very specific end of game scenarios that I thought was super cool to watch. Aside from being talented, this seems to be a great group of guys - they stuck around signing stuff/chatting with fans for a while after practice was over and couldnโ€™t have been nicer. Same with Coach - I ran into him in downtown Knoxville before the game this past weekend and told him how excited I was for the season.
  8. Today
  9. really sucks that the boosters care so much more about the celebrations than they do Nansen that CDC had to call out the guy who had 5.5 sacks and the guy who scored the only touchdowns in a bye week newsletter
  10. Yesterday
  11. answer isโ€ฆ.not good
  12. Have doubts a lot of the more extreme reactions are Horn fans. Thinking 3 for 39 bringing in a lot of trolls. And some of the insane criticism of players and coaches. Hard to believe they are our fans.
  13. Not Hank, but it takes 5 years for a right end to learn Sarks offense, so probably not.
  14. Not sure refs could dislike us much more than they did already.
  15. The RB room for 27โ€™ will most likely have Cooper, LWC, and Roberts in it. Hopefully we donโ€™t lose Terry III and Simon but if we do weโ€™ll prob have to bring in 2 guys from the portal. Not sure what Jett Walkerโ€™s future is either..
  16. This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. a major overreaction imo
  17. If he was a legit TE prospect from Illinois he would be going to Iowa ๐Ÿ˜† ...but for real his Hudl is impressive. http://www.hudl.com/v/2TLZxe
  18. You should ask Colin that question, because he apparently can't... He needs to turn over his social media to a marketing professional and fast.
  19. As you know I am one of the vets on here. Back in the day, when NFL defensive lineman and linebackers could basically kill quarterbacks. Imagine what the Steel Curtain would do to a quarterback, as a form of revenge, for disrespecting their team? Lyle Azado of the Raiders was crazy. He was a steroid freak with a horrible temper. Man, the stuff they got away with was brutal. Quarterbacks had to be incredibly tough to play the game in the 70's. My point being there is no point in poking the bear.
  20. I doubt we will see a repeat of this behavior again. Now let's focus on our missed tackles, which are plentiful.
  21. More pissed about celebrations from the #1 team in the country, than they are about Nansen driving drunk as one of their coaches. Delconte is pathetic.
  22. Donโ€™t know of any but I figured college is the NFL minor leagues. Not sure of contractual details with them being paid now. Just a thought of another way to control crazy behavior on and off the field.
  23. Those numbers are wild. People see scaffolding and think it's just cosmetic work. In reality they've restored 439 windows, cleaned and repaired 54,000 square feet of stone, and hand-regilded 114 letters with gold leaf. That's preserving one of the most recognizable buildings in Texas, not just giving it a facelift. Looking forward to seeing the south side scaffold-free in 2027. ๐Ÿค˜
