  1. Past hour
  2. @Joe Zura you are supposed to tell us when you are in town
  3. Haha That was one of member Chris Bennett ... I tol him I would eat one if Texas got to 20 wins (when it wasn't looking good) lol
  4. I really don't get it. It seems like we focus on the sprint events regardless. The Indoor Championships were last week. Texas finished: Mens: 12 points, 24th place. Outscored by NAU (7th), Villanova (14th), New Mexico (19th) Womens: 8 points, tied for 28th place. Outscored by New Mexico (10th), South Dakota (15th), Tarleton State (23rd), Princeton (27) I realize that some of these athletes are at specific schools because of the coach that is in place for their event - but some of these kids were just underrecruited, too. Not sure why Texas can't just NIL top performing kids from small schools to earn some extra points considering that T&F field events have a way disproportionate value because of the multiple championships. Below is a list of frosh/sophomore student athletes from smaller schools that it seems like we could recruit to join our teams in non-sprint events. I'm just a fat guy with a spreadsheet, this can't be that complicated lol Tshephang DANKURU FR Texas State (6th mens high jump) Ricardo MONTES DE OCA SO High Point (7th mens pole vault) Anna WILLIS SO South Dakota (3rd womens pole vault) Prestina OCHONOGOR SO Tarleton State (5th womens long jump) Jessica OJI FR Penn (7th womens shot) Kenneth BYRD SO Louisville (2nd mens Hept) Allie ZEALAND SO Liberty (5th womens 3000M) Pamela KOSGEI SO New Mexico (3rd womens 5000M) Edna CHELULEI SO Eastern Kentucky (6th womens 5000M) Victoria CAMERON SO Tarleton State (3rd womens 60M) Bradley FRANKLIN SO Samford (2nd mens 60M hurdles) Matthew ENDRODY SO New Mexico (6th mens 1 mile)
  5. Silver lining. This was a character building loss that mirrors the CWS pressure. Had the game in the bag, lost focus, and lost in a humiliating way. They will remember that feeling when they get into the late innings in the playoffs. It ain't over till it's over.
  6. “The bar is very low for Gerry and mayo corndogs.”- Bobby Burton on this morning’s show. Truer words have never been spoken on OTF
  7. That’s why I tend to stay out of game threads during games. Too many freak outs. We’re 18-3 and ranked in the top 5 and dropped a heartbreaker on an error. Not a big deal to me. It happens.
  8. This is a fun team to watch. Gotta say I particularly love watching Goode. Such a fantastic attitude. She plays with joy, love for the game, and love for her team.
  9. I think if we are going to have struggles, now is the time. Would rather put some guys through the wringer to weed out who can’t handle the late inning pressure prior to post season play. If we can manage to win more series than we lose, we will be just fine in the grand scheme. Baseball is a game of streaks, and slumps. Would rather slump now and streak late. It’s not easy to endure losses but if it doesn’t kill us, it’s going to bode well for later in the year.
  10. Today
  11. Indeed it was. We'll get them tomorrow, @MBHORNSFAN. In Schloss I trust (his name sure is hard to type)🤘
  12. Yep, understood. Being a fan is not for the timid or feeble-minded🤣
  13. I think that’s fair, I just can’t believe we watched the same thing happen 2 weeks in a row.
  14. You got it, other Paul. Only one person can operate a steering wheel in an automobile. Some folks need to quit grabbing for it, sit back, and enjoy the ride.
  15. I don't know if I would go that far, but I do think that they are still trying to 'figure it out', as in getting a better feel of which reliever is better in what situation, etc. Just my humble opinion.🤘
  16. That’s my point…..I think Jonah should play baseball but what do I know? Murray showed me I know nothing.
  17. go ahead and send coach a text. Im sure he would appreciate the insight.
  18. I quit reading after all the over reactions. The team is growing and has room to improve. If you believe in Schloss let him work his magic.
  19. Time for Volantis to move back to closer. Bullpen on Sundays until someone emerges
  20. Like the ‘05 football team wanting to play USC in the natty, wouldn’t surprise me if this team has been watching UConn and hoping that’s the team they play in the natty game, so his criticism is based off of that imo.
  21. He didn't have a chance to cut down the tying run, so it was a bad play to sell out to even try. Wouldn't have been in the game without his offense to begin with, but he's got to be better defensively.
  22. To be fair, they haven't had many opportunities to see the bullpen in high leverage situations this year. I'm confident they'll work it out. Unfortunately, conference champs are often decided by two or fewer games.
  23. Watching Coach Vic during the post game presser, you would think the game was a nail biter and our girls were horrible.
