1yr ago on July 4th week, 2024 when Dakorien Moore, Josiah Sharma and Myron Charles all committed away from the good guys to Oregon and FSU, there was this exact same “Sky is falling, we suck, Kenny Baker and Chris Jackson can’t recruit” overreaction. By end of the recruiting cycle, we had the #1 class overall and our DL and WR groups were elite. Who knows how this class will turn out. I’m just saying Sark has enough track record now over the past 4yrs with hiring great coaches who can develop AND recruit, that I choose to be patient, ride the roller coaster, enjoy the ups and downs, focus on the wins and trust all will be ok in the end. if you prefer to overreact in the short-term while there’s still 5 months left in recruiting (plus the portal), that’s certainly one option. Hook em! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

With the new age of college football recruiting players has never been more fluid. As much as we would love it to be true, a small percentage of these kids grow up wanting to be Texas Longhorns or any other team for that matter. These kids weren’t even born when Vince Young ran into the corner of the end zone that faithful night. They’re looking at how much are they going to get paid and making it to the NFL. Sark made a big haul in the offseason season on the defensive line, so unless it is a guy that can help right away, he might not offer as much money. Last year was different. Justice Terry and those other two guys were there and their elite guys so Sark dropped the bags. He probably dropped bags on these portal defensive linemen because he wanted the position better quickly. It ever changing. Sark is going to get his share plus some. All this is why they have so many staff members player personnel guys and such because it’s a 24/7 evaluation on your needs, what’s out there, what’s it going to cost etc…… This is why I don’t climb a bridge about to jump if we don’t get a certain player. When the smoke clears, Sark will be in the top 5 in recruiting again and continually stacking talent like he has done is eventually going to lead to winning it all. Sark is building Saban’s Alabama at Texas. 🤘🤘🐂🐂

Right now we are recruiting at a very high level. We are winning at a high level. We are developing at a high level. Right now we are in the early stages of the recruiting cycle. Sark likes breaking hearts late in the game.

Hard to know but you are probably right. Moffett has looked good in summer league but started on Tuesday and only made it thru one inning. He threw 36 pitches (19 for strikes) and gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks. His inning: Walk, stolen base Single, run scores Stolen base Single Strikeout Sac fly, run scores Walk Strikeout

I can’t wait to see how this year’s team looks against Ohio State in 64 days. I’m bullish that this is the year. I listed out all the teams we haven’t played the past two seasons plus OU and A&M, will put us at 9 games with 8 of those teams being pre-season Top 16 this year. 😳

July, August, September, October, November… just win baby! Arch Manning led Texas Longhorn hype train is priming up the engines. Our cabins will be full with fanatics satiated my late November, early December.
