  1. Past hour
  2. Anyone know why Spears wasn't playing?
  3. Ok, back you accusations up with evidence. We can play conspiracy games all day long, but if you don't connect the dots with provable evidence, it's just rumor. The fact still remains, that there are a ton of coaches out there in the coaching ranks who were behind the Bama curtain, and not one peep from them about his cheating. And, some of them left T-Town on less than good terms with Saban. Not even they are exposing Saban for cheating, and if anyone out there has a motive to do so, it's them. If you are making the accusations, then give us the facts that support that accusation.
  4. Demarcus Henry Jr committing Oct 30th. Sounds like it’s Arkansas as of today. Some rumors he and Black do not like each other.
  5. Oh man. I wasn’t projecting. I’m not here to convince you of anything, so believe what you want. That said any premise around “everyone does it” or “everyone was clean or other people would have said something “ are each so completely wrongheaded that they’re almost impossible to help someone who believes either idea to become disavowed of their illusions.
  6. Every top coach pulling in multiple five stars is accused of cheating at some point in their career. Maybe Bama's rich alumni negotiated behind the scenes with these recruits and he looked the other way, but a lot of his former coaches were out there in the college ranks recruiting against him, and they never accused him of cheating. They could have easily blown the whistle on the cheating, but they never said a word.
  7. I have not been watching matches, but volleyball is down compared to their standard. Dropping sets where in past Texas would have swept easily without much fanfare. It's not lack of talent so only thing I can point to is coaching, Eric Sullivan apparently was the cog in the machine. Team has not been as dominant since he left. And the middle blocker position has dropped off dramatically. Texas was pumping out Olympians left and right until he left.
  8. Did they dedicate an episode to explaining how Saban fully weaponized the player auction landscape and led Alabama to being one of the major buyers in what was basically an annual illegal auction? Or is that just never going to be critically looked into by anyone? Alabama was a lead dog in a closed market of about 10 schools every year who worked with street agents and the proverbial uncles to buy players in recruiting when it was fundamentally illegal. Give Saban credit though, once he realized that legally being able to pay players removed his competitive advantage, he was smart enough to deuce out and take the massive ESPN bag and retire. 7 titles, yadda yadda. This dude was the Sammy Sosa of CFB coaching. Could he have been great without cheating? We’ll never know. He wasn’t at Michigan State and he damned sure wasn’t with the Dolphins.
  9. Today
  10. He is stating what most coaches, athletes, journalists, and fans already know, but he is stating the facts in an honest, straight forward manner. Great response. Thanks for sharing, Gerry.
  11. Two thirds the way through it. Saban’s wife certainly kept him grounded.
  12. Love him being transparent
  13. Turf Toe Treatment and Rehabilitation Non-surgical treatment is effective for the vast majority of turf toe injuries, focusing on stabilizing the joint and progressively restoring function: The R.I.C.E. Protocol: Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation are crucial during the first 48 to 72 hours to manage acute pain and swelling. Immobilization: Grade 1 injuries can often be stabilized by taping the big toe to the second toe (buddy taping) or using rigid orthotic shoe inserts to stop the joint from bending. Grade 2 and 3 injuries usually require an orthopedic walking boot or cast shoe to fully unload weight. Physical Therapy: Once pain subsides, rehabilitation moves from simple, non-weight-bearing range-of-motion movements to strengthening exercises for the bottom foot muscles (like the flexor hallucis longus). Eventually, patients transition to flat-foot leg presses, calf raises, and sports-specific cutting drills. Surgery: Reserved for high-level athletes or severe Grade 3 cases involving completely torn ligaments, a fractured sesamoid bone, or lasting joint instability. An accurate medical diagnosis often utilizes physical manipulation and an MRI scan to confirm tissue integrity. This is the safest approach to prevent long-term complications like chronic stiffness (hallux rigidus) or bunions.
  14. A turf toe injury is a sprain of the main joint at the base of the big toe, known as the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint. It occurs when the big toe is forcefully bent upward (hyperextended) while the forefoot is planted on the ground and the heel is raised. This action stretches or tears the supporting soft tissues, ligaments, and tendons under the joint, collectively called the plantar complex. It is most commonly associated with football players on hard artificial turf, although it can happen on a grass field as well. Common Symptoms Symptoms can appear suddenly after a specific trauma or build gradually from repetitive hyper-extension. Pain and Tenderness: Constant throbbing or sharp pain when pushing off during walking, running, or jumping. Swelling and Bruising: Localized inflammation around the ball of the foot that can spread across the big toe. Limited Mobility: Inability to bend the toe up or down, coupled with a distinct loss of "push-off" strength. Joint Instability: A popping sensation at the moment of injury, or a feeling that the joint is loose or sliding out of place. Injury Grading & Recovery Timelines Physicians use a grading scale from 1 to 3 to classify the severity of the damage to the plantar complex:
  15. Love him or hate him, he’s genuine
  16. I wonder if Fasusi regrets going to OU?
  17. It looks like depending on the severity/grade it could be 1 week to 6 months. But I haven't personally experienced this injury. The worst injury I've had playing sports (Rugby League) was getting stomped in the eye with a metal stud from someone's boot (twice) and I got knee'd in the chin which push my teeth up into my gums and I was spurting blood out of my mouth lol.
  18. What exactly is turf toe? I would like to hear from someone who has actually experienced this injury. How long before healing takes place?
  19. "If they don't bleed burnt orange.....hook'em"
  20. Anyone else not able to sleep the night before Texas OU?
  21. No sweat off my black.. I mean back. What time does the game start tomorrow?
