  1. After the smoke clears, the SEC needs to apply sanctions against LSU that really sting and truly act as a deterrent. If it is seen as a slap on the wrist, then they become the NCAA. Personally if they kick them out would be fine with me. LSU could then join another conference or go independent and the remaining SEC members can could forego ever scheduling any games in any sports again. But that’s just me.
  2. They should, it might send a message to all members, but I agree with you that they won’t take a hard line stance. That’s why it is a worthless statement, imo. It will be interesting to see what comes out of the meeting ADs and Chancellors.
  3. Fully agree with you! That was my first thought, too. They should have left that last sentence out of the statement. I also wouldn’t object to your proposed version of an ending.
  4. I’m partial to the players from my first impressionable years as a kid when it comes to this number: Clayborn, Koy, and Jam! But, this number is well represented by some good players!
  5. Love the quote by DKR. I had not read that quote before, so thanks for sharing!
  6. A couple of good choices, but for me I’ll go with Jones. I remember watching him as a teen! Also, as mentioned, All-SWC, All-American and Olympic gold medalist, that puts him up there!
  7. Good point. I don’t follow him enough to say or know, but interesting that he is discussing this now. Not sure why.
  8. I agree. “Move on. Look forward.” I think most, if not all, has been discussed, cussed, and debated already by this board and the Mods in one form or the other.
  9. That’s the $64,000 question! That is what is needed, but I realize it is easier said than done! One can hope!
  10. I understand why you ask this as history and past actions show its ineptness, but in theory it should be the governing body…NCAA. It’s the universities’ association, and they should govern themselves.
  11. Totally agree with you! Not a federal issue, nor a federal problem. I hope it doesn’t pass.
  12. Totally agree that these two are tied. There were some strong offensive lines during the careers of these two longhorns! Woodard is just a notch below for me, but that’s because the other two played during my young formative years as a longhorn fan!
  13. I knew this number would have a good list of some great players, but, imho, I totally agree that Mr. Nobis “stands alone at the top”
  14. You beat me to it and I totally agree! I was going to say there was a consensus all American that played for the 69 national champions that wore #62 and he was pretty doggone good: Bob McKay!
  15. Congratulations! I hope life gives you lots of wonderful moments and memories with both your wife and little princesses!
