I loved Mack Brown!!! He turned our program around when we needed it. But Mack and Greg Davis had limitations. With the likes of Applewhite and Simms at QB we were a very good 10+ win team, but not a championship caliber team. It took a VY and Colt to make us a championship caliber team. They won us games in spite of Mack and Davis’ deficiencies. I like Sark!! He turned our program around when it needed it. Sark is a great face/voice for the program. Culture and recruiting is where it has needed to be. But Sark has showed limitations when it comes to “in game” coaching and adjustments. The question is, does Arch have the ability to win games in spite of Sark’s limitations. This season I say “no”, but neither did VY or Colt their first year as starters. I’m hoping, no praying, that Arch has learned and grown enough this year to be that QB next year. I have seen improvement in him as the year has progressed. Sark needs to do some self evaluation, and make improvements to become a championship caliber coach.

It’ll be an interesting offseason whatever happens to say the least. That we can all agree on.

Sark to the Dolphins makes sense to me. Freeman to Texas would be great. To me the home run isn’t Saban, it would be Lanning. He’d still have a huge budget, but wouldn’t have to lure kids to the PNW. Not following the Saban legend was a sharp move.

Agreed…I could see Sark on one of those college studio shows. How quickly would a network like CBS jump at an opportunity for a smooth talking coach?

It’s gotta be more than that. -

That starts with recruiting though. Catch 22. -
Now you’re making assumptions because of a Dez narrative that doesn’t fit what you want to hear. I don’t want to hear it either but it’s social media, he doesn’t need to explain his source. If he does this Saturday on GameDay then something is smelly. Regardless, this is now the second time we’ve seen smoke in just a few weeks. Factor in the issues we’ve seen this season with penalties and his unwillingness to address them, along with what appears to me as a less than stellar game prep since Ohio State and in game adjustments that are uninspiring, I’m not sure I buy a different answer than a mutual parting of ways between Texas and Sark at the end of the season.

The Georgetown back committing? . -
This is what happens when you take some ugly losses in a season where the media hypes you up and when the expectations are what they are. Multiple reasons for it whether it be media folks with egg on their faces, agents, and everything in between.

I mean can’t really argue against them when they are in top 5 what seems like every year and won last year and sitting as the top squad this year we had shots to dethrone them and GA and failed. We need to win some of these head to head games on the field then it will help us in the recruiting game - Today

His wording did not make it sound like an NFL job thing. Mutual parting of the ways is not the same as him leaving for the NFL... But who knows... Wild for sure.
-
If Dez had any journalistic integrity, he would have cited a source even if the source wished to remain anonymous. “A GM who wishes to remain anonymous said…” He’s just acting like a kid in junior high who has some juicy gossip, even if that gossip is entirely false.
-
Again whatever may really be going on, signing day is almost here this is not good on that regard. Of course if there is any truth to it , then all sides would want to get through signing day without any damage if possible. Then whatever happens happens.

It is a very weak pool of coaching candidates in the nfl this year. But I hear ya!

Losses make this board fun!

Did they have a spy on Manning because

They ran a controlled pass rush moreso than a spy. -
did teams in the NFL watch this offense underperform?]
-
He never found any open space to run when he dropped back to pass. I know we don't want him running to much but he can motor. Georgia's QB ran effectively wish Arch could of too. Our two called QB running plays were a disaster.

Lots of assumptions in this post. None of them are necessarily true.
-
We’ll agree to disagree.

I tend to believe he definitely heard something from someone who has some juice. I don't like him too much but I would assume he is dialed in nationally etc. There has been smoke with the NFL and other things that I won't bring up because that is unfair right now. But something is up and as long as you respectfully address it,shouldn't be a need to try and stop a discussion. Anyone can see things are amiss but time will tell. You always need a backup plan just in case.

Ohio St wins most every head to head for anyone they truly want. If it's money or rep, idk but it's almost always the case.
