  2. How about a ontexas football town hall special livestream this weekend to discuss the playoffs issue. I understand there some want to move on to recruiting or to 2026 but could be useful to have a meeting of minds solely on this issue and come up with ideas/ strategies to ensure committee accountability. Does the sport need a collection of appointed watchdogs from across the country tasked with overseeing this process throughout the season Could be respected and knowledgeable business or community leaders who love the sport and have the time and organizational capabilities.
  3. No conference should get a guaranteed number of teams. Things change over time and power shifts are going to happen-especially with NIL free agency. Texas Tech comes to mind. The biggest problem with the committe is it doesn't have a unified goal for the post season. Do you want the best match ups? The highest revenue generation? Need to include smaller schools to recognize their season? Want to repeat conference match ups in the post season? They don't know what they want to do. Does Texas Tech vs MIami draw any attention? Would fans travel to see Oregon vs OLe Miss this year? Does a Texas A&M rematch with Notre Dame have any appeal? At least the original bowl system found interesting match ups and competitive games. Here's a thought -market based rankings. Fans send cash to the NCAA to vote for their team. The two teams raising the most cash play for the championship. The next highest revenue teams play for 3rd and foulrth etc. Or, in th altemative market based system, there is only one post season game allowed per team after the season. There are no bowl/conference affiliations. Bowls bid for teams at the end of the season. The two teams attracting the highest dollar bowl play for the Championship, the next highest paid pair play for 3rd and 4th etc. Let TV bid on the bowls after the teams are announced. Bowls will have to compete for teams making the teams alot of $$$$. Since we are all about the money now let the market decide. Didn't get a bowl bid? Challenge someone and split the gate. (Don't get excited, this is clearly not a serious proposal, but it probably makes as much sense as a committee that has different ideas about what they are trying to do with the post season.) One serious thought about the post season, all teams should have the option of practicing until the final game is played and not just the ones in the playoffs. That practice time is a huge advantage to teams with an extended season.
  4. Tulane was ready for war last night. The Mean Green was too nice
  5. it’s not like Baton Rouge is a pretty place to live.
  6. The EDGE that wears #15 from JMU last night is a dawg
  7. Lame can get outta here with that mess we’re hanging on to Clark
  8. John F. pretty much nailed it.
  9. Both tackles if Goosby doesn’t go to the draft. Conner Robertson at center if he returns or Daniel Cruz could compete for it in his third year. At guard - ?
  10. If Texas is going to the portal for offensive line, who do we currently have that has the ability to be a starter next year? I haven't heard any names mentioned other than going to the portal?
  11. CBSSports' Matt Zenitz is reporting that Lane Kiffin will retain edge rushers coach Kevin Peoples. Why is this significant? There were whispers that LSU would target, or at least have communications with LaAllen Clark for their edge position. Clark is a native of Baton Rouge. Clark was signed last year and just helped the Texas Longhorns pass rushers put up major numbers in 2025. Texas, as a defense, currently ranks 3rd in the country with 38.0 sacks this season.
  12. He may not be quite prepared for the pressure. Really, he can’t win no matter what he does. i do not see the justification for having Ole Miss in front of the Aggies. That could be incredibly significant in that one gets the 11 seed the other gets the 10. I’m not completely certain that Oregon deserves it either. But pushing the Aggies down to 7 and Vandy at 14 diminishes those two wins slightly. There is bad information out there. Saban just said Miami kicked Notre dames ass. Kicked the game winner with 1 minute left. They outgained them by 25 yards. Miami got two turnovers in scoring position. They got 1 first down and 3 points. For a game at home, that’s not ass kicking. But the world views it as such now.
  13. How would James Madison or Tulane fare against Florida in the swamp in a night game?
  14. He’s supposed to be playing linebacker at tech?
  15. It’s a defeatists mentality to lay down and accept this committee nonsense. Glad the team didnt have this same mentality when the chips were down and they were being challenged. Wasn’t a perfect season but they showed grit
  16. Today
  17. Could be wrong, but sort of sounds like he misspoke. Given he was comparing it to the Alabama game. Could be wrong, and if so: wow.
  18. Texas led Vandy for 59:45 of the game. For 55 minutes they couldn’t even tie the game. They only had 4 snaps in the entire game to tie it up. If they call the interference on the overturned TD, there’s a good chance we win by 2-3 scores.
  19. Get the decisions out of the Boardroom and get it decided on the field. I like Joel Klatt’s 14 team model!
  20. Why would you "hope" that he, or anyone else would fail?
  21. Immediately thought of Amaree Thomas
