  2. Better to be in than not. And the rangers went 4-9 vs this averags team. A decade straight. Facts dont lie. awful 2 games
  3. According to Ross Dellenger they are closer than ever now. The Yahoo article has the details. Just get the $ right and pretty much will be done. https://x.com/RossDellenger/status/2105411439468900593?s=20

  4. Agree with all points. If Abdullah isn't ready yet, the infield is already solid. The question marks are really the corner outfield, but I'm not sure there are many questions. The positions being replaced by departing seniors (from the World Series starting lineup): Catcher - probably a slight downgrade considering Atwood's defensive prowess, she was elite. Offensively, Atwood was of course great, but struggled in the post season. I think Swan will be serviceable there and she showed up last post season so hopefully that carries over. Pitcher - I believe Lincoln is a slight upgrade over Citlaly mainly because she's a lefty. Citlaly was up and down, but she was nails in the post season when Texas needed her most. 2nd Base - Goode was good (pun intended) but you're replacing her with the player of the year who is elite both offensively and defensively. Texas upgraded. Left field - pretty much non-existent offensively except for a key Altmeier bomb when they needed it post season. Defensively it was about average, so whoever takes it over is probably an upgrade over last year. Right field - offensively, Maloney was speed on the bases, but her average dipped a little. She didn't have power, but she often turned the lineup over and did it well. Defensively she had so many outfield assists it was insane. That's where replacing her will be hard. Also expecting an offensive upgrade overall. The team is poised to make another run though (depending on how the new coaches mesh in and get the team going). I feel like the batting outside of Katie Stewart dipped a bit last year; looking for improvement there for the team overall.
  5. 1) The Fair is the only place where I'll spend $27 on a corny dog, $14 on a Shiner, walk 5 miles, and somehow convince myself I came out ahead financially. 2) The best part is the 50/50 split. One side is confident, happy, and having fun --- The other side is wearing crimson 3) For me, My favorite tradition is hearing OU fans tell me how many national championships they have while actively losing to Texas. 4) The Cotton Bowl crowd noise is unmatched. Especially when an OU quarterback realizes Anthony Hill was coming through the A-gap uninvited. 😁
  6. I'm guessing they didn't get the signs this series.

  8. The roster looks a lot deeper than it did a year ago. The biggest battle may not be finding starters, but figuring out where to put all the talent. The infield is crowded, while the corner outfield spots seem like the clearest path for some of the younger players to earn at-bats. I'm still curious about Abdullah. She's obviously an elite prospect, but when I watched her with Team USA, she looked like she had some trouble picking up the ball at times and wasn't always comfortable against top-level pitching. If she's good enough to force her way into the everyday lineup immediately, then someone established may have to change positions. If not, it gives White a little more flexibility while she adjusts to the college game. Either way, there are only so many spots available. That's a good problem to have, but with this much talent on the roster, I'd be surprised if there aren't a couple of transfers after the season.
  9. I thought the new rule was that you have 5 years to play 5 years with the elimination of the extra year waiver (6th year) for injury.
  10. Appreciate the post 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
  11. So we golfing or what? ⛳️🏌️
  12. I went to a donor practice today - a few observations: 1) David Punch appears to have much more range than I thought he had - he had a great looking shot and was hitting 3’s/long jumpers. I complemented him on his shot afterward and he was very appreciative, saying how hard he has been working on it. 2) It definitely sucks losing Lewis for a while, but Goosby getting more minutes/experience may be a blessing come March. He is awesome. 3) The length/athleticism is still mind boggling after having to sit through a season a couple years ago where Shedrick was the only big body on the court. It seems like we have so much versatility in the way we will be able to play, particularly when Lewis comes back. 4) it is really awesome watching Sean Miller teach. He lives and breathes basketball, and we got to watch him teach in very specific end of game scenarios that I thought was super cool to watch. Aside from being talented, this seems to be a great group of guys - they stuck around signing stuff/chatting with fans for a while after practice was over and couldn’t have been nicer. Same with Coach - I ran into him in downtown Knoxville before the game this past weekend and told him how excited I was for the season.
  13. really sucks that the boosters care so much more about the celebrations than they do Nansen that CDC had to call out the guy who had 5.5 sacks and the guy who scored the only touchdowns in a bye week newsletter

  15. Have doubts a lot of the more extreme reactions are Horn fans. Thinking 3 for 39 bringing in a lot of trolls. And some of the insane criticism of players and coaches. Hard to believe they are our fans.
  16. Not Hank, but it takes 5 years for a right end to learn Sarks offense, so probably not.
  17. Not sure refs could dislike us much more than they did already.
  18. The RB room for 27’ will most likely have Cooper, LWC, and Roberts in it. Hopefully we don’t lose Terry III and Simon but if we do we’ll prob have to bring in 2 guys from the portal. Not sure what Jett Walker’s future is either..
  19. This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. a major overreaction imo
  20. If he was a legit TE prospect from Illinois he would be going to Iowa 😆 ...but for real his Hudl is impressive. http://www.hudl.com/v/2TLZxe
  21. You should ask Colin that question, because he apparently can't... He needs to turn over his social media to a marketing professional and fast.
  22. As you know I am one of the vets on here. Back in the day, when NFL defensive lineman and linebackers could basically kill quarterbacks. Imagine what the Steel Curtain would do to a quarterback, as a form of revenge, for disrespecting their team? Lyle Azado of the Raiders was crazy. He was a steroid freak with a horrible temper. Man, the stuff they got away with was brutal. Quarterbacks had to be incredibly tough to play the game in the 70's. My point being there is no point in poking the bear.
  23. I doubt we will see a repeat of this behavior again. Now let's focus on our missed tackles, which are plentiful.
