Black globe temperature: Uses a black sphere to measure radiant heat from the sun. Dry-bulb temperature: Measures standard air temperature in the shade. Why WBGT Matters It is more accurate than a standard heat index for people working or playing in direct sun. Schools, sports leagues, and the military use it to plan safe water breaks or cancel outdoor events. It helps prevent dangerous conditions like heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Odd, because Jimmy Sexton admitted a few years later that he was playing the rogue Texas regents against Bama. Also, how did a coach about to be fired anyway blow it all up?

I always wished Lil Jordan Humphries had come back for his final year. I always thought he was underrated. He didn’t have the blazing speed, as witnessed at the combine, but he was a playmaker with the ball in his hands. It would have been beneficial to him as well to come back for his senior year. He was incredible at high pointing the ball and 50/50 catches.

BTW, this story making the rounds is proof that we’re out of talking season. We’re now squarely behind in “Football, Please Get Here in a Hurry” Season.

I'm glad he was never the coach at Texas but I'm curious how moving from Waco to Austin would have impacted the off the field stuff. The baylor scandal broke in 2016, two years after this theoretical hire. Would all the horrible stuff stayed buried in Waco? Could that above the law, win at all costs attitude work in the much less insular Austin? Can you separate the awful off the field stuff from what you get on the field or is it part of why he was having success at the time.
