  1. Past hour
  2. As long as Texas wins tomorrow. I don’t think they throw him against him against Holy Cross and save him again.
  3. Do they pitch him vs Holy Cross or save yet again for game 3? Lol
  4. Guess Texas won’t have to face Flora after all…
  5. @Gerry Hamiltonnot that it matters for Texas, but can basketball players enter the portal still if their coach leaves?
  6. Yup or swap schedules. We’ll swap schedules with them and play them in Lubbock and put belt to a$$. Much like Brackens did back in 95!!
  7. Jeff, you’re on the heater today! I was at the game and a couple things struck me. Anthony pack has ice in his veins but this is a game that should never have been played. This wasn’t a game. It was batting practice. Holy Cross has no business being in the NCAA tournament. They are that bad! There’s a reason that every Texas starter had a hit and some people who weren’t starters had hits, including a grand slam. It’s another example of NCAA being a feckless and misguided organization, that rewards conference tournament champions, regardless of how bad they are. Let’s face it. The Crusaders have a losing record for a reason. They’re one of the worst teams Texas has played all year - frankly, not even good enough to schedule for a midweek game. I’m a season ticket holder and I see all the games at home. I was apologizing to Crusader fans for running up the score when it was 16 to nothing in what should have been a run-rule game, but the NCAA doesn’t allow that in “their”!tournament. It was embarrassing for everyone. The fans of both teams were ready for the game to be over. Then there was more Tom foolery. The NCAA required Texas to cover up the national championship banner over the visitor’s bullpen and forbade Texas from playing the Eye of Texas (which we all sang anyway). I guess they’re afraid of acknowledging there is such a thing as a home-field advantage and want to make everybody feel welcome. As Bobby Burton likes to say the NCAA is twiddling its thumbs while Rome burns. We have unbridled free agency, unlicensed agents running the show, unenforced rules, and coaches quitting while their teams are in the playoffs, and the list goes on…… meanwhile the NCAA is focused on making sure that tiny colleges get a participation ribbon. Time to end the madness, and break from the NCAA.
  8. Texas can do this. Just need a little bit more offense. 3 wins away.
  9. For the win! Hook ‘em
  10. Whew. Bama or Nebraska.
  11. Ive been telling tech fans that if they want to make a serious offer, offer to buyout the ohio state game. They got quiet all the sudden.
  12. Don’t forget the year before tech pulled a rabbit out the rear in 2022, sark put 70 on tech in 2021 in DKR. No wonder Austin wasn’t a preferred destination in joeys script.
  13. That looked like confusion. Double steal and someone missed the sign?
  14. LOL let’s make a dumb thread for no reason. I’m about to make one about Kyle flood come join it
  15. I think the biggest thing, is he isn't pushing his politics onto the crew at OTF he's supporting Texas Longhorn content regardless of political affiliation. I don't even know his politics and I don't care to. We let politics keep us divided way too much, differences are fine but the "you need to be this team or else" mentality is what gets us to extremes no one wants to be in.
  16. Texas finishes -1 on the day. good solid consistent day all around. tied 6th going into round 2
  17. Speedy Stewart. Let's put them away.
  18. Today
  19. Great article Jeff. Texas Tech is irrelevant and without principle. Campbell clearly only cares about power and winning and doesn’t care about the integrity of football or his program Joy Maguire has shown that he has no principle he won’t sell because he’s agreed to defend a quarterback who has committed an unforgivable sports sin. When you capitulate and do something you know to be wrong, you no longer have integrity. I’m tired of hearing about how he was “good to me” and how he “was” a respected high school coach. He may have once been outstanding person and coach, but he sold his integrity for money and personal gain. If you have ever read and understood the Lord of the Rings, you will be aware of the meaning of the “wraithing” process. This is when people you would’ve thought were good are corrupted into doing unthinkable things for power or the fear of opposing it. Some German soldiers in World War II are prime examples. Men who were good considered good men in their civilian lives put Jews into gas chambers. It can be a slow process in which you sell your integrity one piece at a time until you have none. That was an extreme example I admit, but it is essentially what had happened to Joey Maguire snd Texas Tech as a whole by refusing to stand up to Cody Campbell and they’re gonna have to live with the consequences, IMO. It is time for Texas to move on, but to remember that In sports and in life there are some things that are not negotiable.
  20. We have had a lot of opportunities to not happen. Please do not come back to haunt please.
  21. Gotta get at least two runs here.
