  1. Past hour
  2. At least we have a side of football to go along with our beers and glizzys
  3. Take my advice and use the ignore feature to your advantage with that guy
  4. Positivity. The pass protection problem, if you believe in PFF grades, is not widespread. LG and RB were the issues. Is that fixable? Maybe Baxter returns and handles part of it. There are options to make LG serviceable.
  5. That whole “we’re young” narrative only popped up after the results didn’t meet preseason expectations. Nobody was calling this offense young in August, if someone had suggested we’d struggle because of youth, they’d have been laughed off the board. In fact, we were going to be better offensively because the players being inserted brought more physicality up front from G,C,G, Arch was more dynamic than Ewers, Wingo was the best freshman WR in the country just didn’t get much opportunity and Endries was a plug and play vet that would have a huge impact, etc. Offensive starters: QB – 3rd yr RBs – Baxter (3rd), Wisner (3rd), Clark (2nd) WRs – Moore (3rd), Wingo (2nd), Livingstone (2nd) OL – LT (2nd), LG (3rd), C (4th), RG (4th), RT (2nd) TEs – Endries (3rd), Washington (2nd) That’s 2 fourth-years, 5 third-years, and 4 second year players. Far from young.
  6. I keep hearing everyone say we have a young team. We have some new players stepping into starting roles but are we really that young if many of our players starting on offense and defense are in year 3?
  7. If he was that good he’d be coaching at not a QC.
  8. Today
  9. If you worked for Harbaugh for that long as an OL coach, I’d wager he’s good. Didn’t make much difference last week though, granted no idea how much of a voice he has or how much he can change in a few weeks. Can’t hurt having someone on staff with his experience.
  10. Being reported that Tim Drevno was hired as a consultant to help OL on 9/11 🤔. Has ties to Sark from USC worked under Harbaugh has a decent resume other places. Next OL coach in waiting or... Interesting very interesting!
  11. Alright obviously something needs to change and needs to change fast. I don’t know what the solution will be and how good of a solution we will see come Saturday but there has to be something positive coming out of it. I mean even if the running backs as a whole manage to get 60 plus yards Saturday, which is still pretty pitiful, it will be an improvement that needs to happen. I don’t know if they change personnel or if that’s even the problem with the line. They just look like they don’t give a rats ass to be physical. I don’t know if this game was a fluke because there has been some signs of life in our line, but if memory serves correct I remember Cole Hutson and DJ Campbell bullying the Alabama front in there sophomore seasons. Where did that fire and intensity go? Those two should be the undoubtedly the BEST we have right now on the line and I’m not saying they aren’t because half the time I see Hutson on someone or on the ground by himself and Campbell trying to fight someone down the field. So they still have that fire in them without a doubt but they need to translate that to their younger teammates on the line especially the Left Guard position which still remains the BIGGEST AND MOST promblematic position of this offensive. I honestly feel once they get that problem solved and I hope it’s fast, the offense WILL be better. Now onto the running backs. No one can create space for themselves. I know it is a banged up room right now and inexperienced and the line isn’t helping at all with those problems, but I know for a fact these players are too talented to not be patient enough to hit holes and just run outside to traffic. Again I do think most of the run games problems are to do with line play but it is still not nowhere near acceptable for Texas’ standard. Hopefully we see signs of life and emotion against OU, and I truly think we will. These players are too damn talented not too. Hook’Em!
  12. Love being able to watch the games but damn the quality of the SEC network +announce crews is not good
  13. Yesterday
  14. Not as bad as I thought it would be

  16. He was much more kind to Texas than SEC shorts was . . . Texas is back . . . lol
  17. Always a good show … Coach Irwin has said it over and over about the importance of Special Team. But for this season and last season, we have been poor/bad/crappy, etc. I think we were good in 2023 when we had the former NFL special team analyst (can’t remember his name) help coach the unit. You gotta ask the question is Jeff Banks a below average coach. One bad year happens … 2 becomes a trend
  18. This is what we need. Don't get it this game, won't matter rest of the season.
  19. Despite all the problems, our team still had a chance to come back until late in the game. They kept fighting & never gave up. Arch tried to make things happen after being hit on almost every down.
  20. I’m with you all the way . I find most of the TV journalists bashing our coach & players disgusting. Even some of our moderators questioning our coaching & players. Even our fan base . (so called fan base) talking nonsense. Doing nothing but hurting our team .
  21. We need to run some screen passes where you are not required to block the D linemen. There. That's positive. I really hope to see one or two or three of the O linemen to step up and show some fiery leadership.
  22. Can you please bring positivity to this thread. Thanks.
  23. I don't know about all the players, but I want it really bad. Saturday evening Sark will either be 3-2 and 3 of the last 4 vs. OU or with a losing 2-3 record vs. OU. OU sucks and Will Rogers never met Barry Switzer.
  24. Yep, exactly. Also our running backs aren’t great either.
