  1. Past hour
  2. Rapid Reactions from Gerry and myself this morning.
  3. Hire David Cutliffe as a consultant. Bring the Manning Passing Academy to the 40acre Sark is a brilliant play caller but doesn't have a clue on how to fix Arch. He had same issue in his previous jobs.
  4. What was weird about the 0-10 stretch is that he looked pretty good up until then. Think he was 4of5 and it looked pretty good. When they went for it on 4th down and missed open Wingo the drought was on. Imagined pocket pressure too IMO
  5. Today
  6. Maybe he does but it never got talked about: 1) Does Arch go to a therapist/sports psychologist to talk about the pressure he faces/the anxiety he feels about having to perform? Does he meditate? I would guess no if a guy completely melts down after an overthrown wheel route... (meditating/talking to a therapist WORKS, like scientifically proven that it does...) --> If he doesn't, no one in Arch's magic circle of trust thought that developing Arch's mental fortitude (through meditation or other practices that help you remain grounded) was something that was as important as being able to throw good? If you ask me the Manning's, having seen Peyton and Eli go through it, thought to do the same exact things that they did when they were in college, misjudging how much the world has changed, especially in terms of pressure on young QBs making millions of dollars while leading 40 million dollar rosters. --> If he does then either they have miscalculated how much more he needs to work on the mental side of things or honestly, he's toast. If they have been putting a lot of emphasis on it already then Arch may just not be cut out for it. - It may be a misjudgment of character on my part but seeing Arch's interviews it seems to me like he's been trained to just brush off any hint that the mental side of things are the reason he's not performing up to standard. If he's just saying what the media wants to hear ("Gotta play better") then whatever, but if he actually thinks that he just needs to keep on and he'll magically improve mentally then he's dead wrong. The rest of the year working through the mental side of things should be as much of a priority as watching film or going to practice.
  7. It typically gets released on Mondays. I have signed us up.
  8. Great sign of character!!!! Haha
  9. 100% mental He's just not close to what he was last year when in games for extended period of time, or what anyone has seen in practice in spring or fall camp.
  10. Introducing Vanderbilt freshman guard Chandler Bing Read the bio ... lol https://vucommodores.com/roster/chandler-bing/
  11. Arch is not injured and it is all mental. You can't tell me a guy that loses all confidence after an overthrown wheel route doesn't have mental issues to work through. What I am most worried about is: 1) It is not easy or guaranteed that he can work through it, some people just don't have the mental fortitude... You can always get better, but how much? And how long does that take? 2) Everyone around him, including the manning family, did him a disservice. There is no chance in hell that no one saw red flags in how Arch handles all this pressure and if they did they should've steered him to get help about it as soon as possible. If no one saw it then Arch is incredibly good at masking it and that is very stupid to do. If you feel a lot pressure/anxiety masking it doesn't do anything about it and in fact it represses it. We're in 2025, feelings aren't something you repress, it's something you work through, especially as an athelete with all the resources in the world at your disposal. From Sark to Milwee, being a QB guru doesn't only revolve around Xs and Os... why do we see Texas qbs loose confidence or not have confidence to begin with? What the hell is Milwee saying to these guys?
  12. And there is this with the original story ... https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/46215924/ncaa-fresno-state-san-jose-state-players-gambling
  13. Texas and Guervil are talking a lot. There is a chance he makes a visit this season. If that happens, it gets real.
  14. Only thing I will say is this ... what I saw Saturday was just way worse than anything I've seen from a Texas QB. And it sucks to say it. Saturday was a total collapse/breakdown of confidence. The types of misses on throws (especially the last one in the flat to C. Clark) were very concerning for me. That is just so far off from quality QB play, let alone confident QB play. Rough to watch. I hope Arch comes back and has a terrific game against SHSU ... but man it's going to be a true internal battle won to get it back quickly at this point IMO. Hope he proves me wrong.
  15. Did he just break up with his girlfriend? What else can it be??? Unless it is his rotator cuff by the way he moves it around before he enters the field. Sark needs to come clean.
  16. Sark is screwed if Manning has rotator cuff spur issue. He has no backup plan
  17. Yeah, I don't know if you needed to bring in OL help from the portal, but recruiting wise hasn't been that great outside of a few guys. Just developmental guys. I know Gerry says you can't stack the OL room like you used to because of NIL but I do think Flood could've done a better job there. I think I said it here or somewhere else, that we'll see what Flood made of this year as an OL coach because it's practically a brand new OL, first time he's had to do that in several years. So far, they're probably above average at best? The only bright spot has been Goosby. I agree with WR, I also mentioned here or somewhere else, that we would see what Sark's recruited WR's would look like and again, outside of Livingstone, pretty disappointing so far. Now not all their fault but still. I've no idea what Sark is seeing in practice and on film, that he keeps doing the same thing over and over again. He's almost regressed to 21/22 playcalling.
  18. Was this Milwee as the OC there? Wasn't he heading back there before Sark pulled him to Texas?
  19. I've been saying it since OSU: Arch has the yips. When the team sees their QB not being able to complete a pass that he makes in practice in his sleep, everyone loses confidence and everyone starts pressing. Looks like the defense has figured it out, even though our pass rush has been head scratching. This offense will keep looking like this as long as Arch doesn't connect his head to his body when the lights come on. He needs a sports psychiatrist more than a coach right now, which is a terrible spot to be because he has to navigate through this in real time when everyone is watching.
  20. Maybe take what these guys feed you with a giant grain of salt
  21. That's a recurring theme with him. Wide open receivers that he can't hit and easy throws that he can't make.
  22. I forgot to ask, but did Collin Simmons play in this one? Was I blind and didn't see him out there? Never heard his name called and he has no stats?
  23. Sellers or no Sellers...SC wasn't beating Vandy. SC, like us, hasn't looked good all year and needed some special teams magic to pull away from Virginia Tech in Atlanta. The very next week, Vandy rolls into Blacksburg and easily destroys Va Tech in front of their home crowd. Transitive properties don't always work out simple but sometimes they do. If we were playing Vandy next week, I don't think I would feel very confident in predicting a Texas win.
  24. We don't have Notre Dame's Oline or a Jeremiyah Love on our roster.
  25. This was something I noticed last year and was the one thing I was worried about regarding Arch coming into the year. So many Texas fans took that skill that Quinn displayed effortlessly for granted and just assumed we'd keep that and add Arch's deep ball & mobility.
