Ton of family stuff around DKR now. It’s a literal carnival. Frank Denius Family University of Texas Athletics Hall of Fame on north side of DKR is awesome if you get there early on game day. Beach Boys playing for free after game. For volleyball on Sunday, you can go to Texas Science and Natural History Museum https://live-texas-science-and-natural-history-museum.pantheonsite.io/

Got one MVP. Had to watch idiots like Nash and Nowitzki win it, Lakers wouldn't have ten games without him 2006, Greatest playoff ever against the Suns that year.

My family is game to our first home football game and volleyball match this weekend. What are the other things we must do around these events?

Greatest stuff ever. Best time I ever had as a sports fan was when Kobe killed Sacramento, San Antonio and then Iverson in 2001 playoffs, Confirmed his place as the best player in world beyond any doubt. We got media crap after than for years.

Sark eyeing NFL per reportAce_Rothstein replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum Go look at what Pop said about Kobe’s passing prowess. I won’t deny that he had ball hog tendencies especially early in his career but he had phenomenal court vision and elite passing ability when he decided to pass. And frankly, after Shaq left, those rosters needed 35 per night from Kobe just to have a shot at winning. I probably am not passing to Smush Parker or Caron Butler (solid player) if those are my next best options ha. It’s not hero worship. It’s just factual. You can’t find many if any all time greats or all stars from that era that don’t say Kobe was the best player they have played with or against (even before his death). Easy top 10 player to ever touch a basketball.

Sark eyeing NFL per reportAce_Rothstein replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum Yeah you can literally google just about any former all star and Kobe is going to be #1 or #2 (if they played with or against MJ). The spreadsheet socialists who don’t know ball and reduce everyone to a flawed advanced metric can’t comprehend how dominant, refined and complete Kobe’s game was. I am sure there are ton of Spurs fans on here. They should go hear what Pop has/had to say about Kobe Bryant as a player haha. “carried by Shaq” is hilarious. And I say that as a guy that totally understands and respects Shaq’s dominance. The Lakers don’t three peat with any other player besides Shaq. Maybe Tim Duncan but even then, probably don’t three peat. Kobe further validated his greatness in the #24 era when he went to 3 straight finals as the alpha dog winning 2 back to back. All the scoring averages of the top guys today are vastly inflated by defensive rule changes, the prominence of the 3 ball, and the increased pace of play. Kobe and Jordan would be putting up 40 burgers every other night in today’s game.

Kobe was a ball hog. I don’t care for him because of what he did to that girl in Colorado, but all heroes have flaws. You guys can hero worship all you want and call me a casual, but he wasn’t a team player until later in his career.
-
Grant Hill said Kobe was easily the best player he ever played against.

Sark eyeing NFL per reportAce_Rothstein replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum Casual misinformed take. At 22 years old Kobe Bryant averaged 30/7/7 on 49% shooting throughout the 2001 playoffs while playing elite defense against a stacked West. He averaged 33.3/7/7 against the mighty Spurs lol. He did this against 4 teams that finished with over 50 reg season wins. The Lakers had the 2 best players in the sport but the team around them was relatively shallow. They averaged only 103-104 ppg as a team and Kobe accounted for 30% of their scoring and like 45% of the team’s offensive production (scoring + assists + offensive rebounds). I swear people have brain rot over Kobe Bryant. There is a reason almost every former player from the 90s through 2010 says he is the best player they played with or against outside of Michael Jordan (for some of the 90s guys). Kobe Bryant is the best shooting guard of all time behind MJ and he would be averaging over 40 ppg in this modern version of the NBA lol.

When Jerry West singed Shaq in July 1996, he told him that Kobe was going to be better than him.

He has definitely not been to the level he needs to be in the intermediate but there's a lot more factors that go into it besides Arch: - When is he throwing in that area? Is it a lot on 3rd and long? When OL isn't blocking anything and Arch is getting pressured the most? - How many passes are dropped? Cause I'm pretty sure I saw more than a few in the intermediate just last game... - Still not incredible rapport with the receivers and quite a few times a game they aren't where they need to be... does Arch trust them to be where they need to be? - How many plays does Sark call for his receivers to run routes in the intermediate range? Again, not a lot of rapport in that area between Arch and the receivers but it's hard to build that rapport when they are only getting called on 3rd and long... It's a very fair criticism to point out that he needs to get better in the intermediate but that's also an area where young QBs typically struggle, especially when confidence isn't all there from the QB
-
There are likely several reasons for this stat. This may be the distance at which QB pressure is most impactful. Since we’re 3rd and long quite often, we’re likely in this range when forced to be rather than we want to be. Arch is tied for 4th in number of pressures at that distance. Quick math shows of those in the top 5 his pressure rate is the highest. He’s tied for 34th in number of attempts.
