Haha Arkansas shouldn’t count as an actual college football “team” -

100% agree. If Lacey is the starting QB next season and looks similar in play to Ewers and Manning, fans will be calling for Bell, when the real problem is the entire offensive operation and not the players. -

I'd love to see Colt McCoy brought on to the staff to help with QB development and play calling next season. -

Maybe if he would actually play Swindle they wouldn't look like ass. Does Elliot always look like he is just mailing it in? -

Sarkisian the play caller/OC and not adjusting his system to what works is our greatest problem. -

I don't totally disagree, but Sark's play design and play calling as well as blocking scheme and OL weakness also comes into play. The next QB will develop along the same arc as Ewers and Manning unless Sark takes a long introspective look at him and his coaching. -

Come on C J , you know our fan base is not into optimism. Do wish the three better ones left were not on the road. To add to your post, the three best D C are behind us or most respected anyway. -

The Longhorns offense is historically bad. Shocking stats
Jeff Howe replied to jcash02's topic in On Texas Football Forum
This is all fair. The offense is too talented and Sark is too good of a play designer for the lulls to last as long as they do and for the offense to be this boom or bust. 24 points, 382 total yards and 6.1 yards per play should’ve been enough to win the game. That’s not a bad showing against Oklahoma’s defense. But it’s not the production, it’s the fact this offense can’t bust a grape for about 2/3 of the game. -

More next season for me. But if we hit three losses I’d change. -
FWIW, Littleton intercepted Julian Sayin on the Hail Mary at the end of the Ohio State game. I know Texas needs to force turnovers, but it’s hard for me to put a lot of fault on the defense when the offense and special teams handed Oklahoma 14 points.

We certainly are “the Cheesiest”! -
Basically what Sark told me with that play choice is he didn't trust his oline against ou's defense to get the 2 yards. Of course that would have been better in hindsight than the missed field goal which gave ou another 7 yards free.

Steamboat Willie replied to Levester White's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I think Sark values big plays more than consistently moving the chains. OU was allowing 23.1% on third down, and with two weeks to prepare, we went 3-for-13. Cooper was running well inside but barely touched it in the second half. Arch’s last pick looked predetermined, with a receiver coming open underneath. Sometimes taking five yards is better than chasing twenty. -

The offense individually isn’t the issue. It’s the decision making, and discipline that’s killing this team. The offense doesn’t need a magic pill to be what they need to be, they need to find consistency in what works for them! Not what Sark thinks will work, but what works for that unit! The special teams on the other hand has a way to go, but honestly inconsistent offense leads to bad situational decisions for the special teams to make and play. If the offense had just plays three good quarters of football, it takes all the pressure off of the special teams to somehow give us a chance to stay in the game. A blocked punt and punt return don’t happen when your offense doesn’t put you in situations for it to happen. Sure punting and kicking haven’t been great, but pressure to be the reason you win games shouldn’t come down on their shoulders unless absolutely necessary. -

Whats worse is the amount of talent that the offense has is being thrown in the garbage. This should have been Sarks most talented offense since he stepped on the 40 and probably within the top 5 hes had as a coach or coordinator....thats flat out embarrassing. Time to start checking egos at the door and start really looking at what the problem is and what needs to be done to fix it. This is the kind of thing that really starts to affect recruiting, team chemistry and confidence...both players and coaches. Hard to trust in something when its been so monumentally bad. -

You are correct. The athletic director hears them too. Not saying anything happens, but Sark needs some smoke behind this.
