  2. "The government stepping in" is the last thing college sports needs. 🤦🏿‍♂️ Perhaps you require more current news sources?? 🤷‍♂️ 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  3. I think it's pretty unanimous that we were better at center with Robertson. Of course that also coincided with getting Stroh off the field, so I'd want to know what Hutson looks like at center with Seymore at LG. I'm sure they'll try out every combination. Hopefully, they put the best one on the field sooner than week 8 this time.
  4. I had a thing for Amanda Tapping back in the day…
  5. I remember watching Collins play too. He was part of Royal's first great backfield with Cotten, Poage, and Saxton. Later I "knew" him as one of the bankers at Austin National Bank. He wasn't my firm's banker but we occasionally dealt with him, and I retain the memory of him as cordial and helpful.
  6. Today
  7. humphrey’s hit on kliff kingsbury after rob peters got knocked out of the game was brutal. he wrapped kliff up and the first thing to hit the ground was the back of kliff’s peanut head.
  8. Monster energy conference at 40% of the cupcakiest of the cupcakes showing they’re not afraid to be afraid of everyone. Also, it’s nice to see that clown school felt compelled to cheat with the second easiest schedule in football.
  9. PK was good but the problems I had with PK was his passivity in just allowing easy first down throws which would allow some quarterbacks to get in a rhythm instead of being aggressive and getting our defense off the field. In addition to that was also his inability to coordinate the whole defense. In 2023 & 2025, he seemed to not be able to marry what the secondary was doing with the rest of the defense which cost us greatly in 2023 vs OU & Washington. @Jeff Howe @Gerry Hamilton @Bobby BurtonWhich game do you think was it that made Sark think that he needed to make the DC change? Was it as early as Florida or Mississippi St? Or was it the 4th quarters of Vanderbilt or Georgia?
  10. Texas Tech No. 2, as expected https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-schedule-rankings-2026-texas-tech-miami-easiest/
  11. He was against the suggestion that JUCO years shouldn’t count toward someone’s eligibility, which is what Pavia was arguing. That’s part of the reason the NCAA implemented the age-based model.
  12. Doug Shankle (1978-1981). Holds the record for career solo tackles at UT (325). Coincidentally, that statistic was not part of the records until his freshman year in 1978.
  13. Heard he has decent speed.
  14. Ty Allert is the one I remember; hard hitter.
  15. Both were very good ball players. Malcolm was a bit undersized for DE but tough as nails.
  16. @Jeff Howe definitely different than sorsby obviously— but didn’t sark publicly criticize when Pavia did a similar thing?
  17. Ty Allert, the only player from Northbrook HS in Houston to make it to the NFL.
  18. Great graphic producer Matthew
  19. The countdown rolls on with one of the thinner jersey numbers in Texas history, but there are still a pair of Longhorns worthy of recognition. 1. Ty Allert | Linebacker (1982–85) Allert finished his career with 287 tackles and 27 sacks, while earning All-Southwest Conference honors and Texas team MVP honors as a senior in 1985. He helped lead the Longhorns to the 1983 Southwest Conference championship, served as a team captain, and was selected in the fourth round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. 2. Malcolm Minnick | Defensive End (1971–73) A three-year letterman, Minnick earned first-team All-Southwest Conference honors in 1973, all while helping the Longhorns capture three consecutive SWC championships from 1971–73. He was a reliable force on a defense that helped keep Texas among the nation’s elite. 48 days until kickoff. 🤘
